I would like to see someone do a count of how many WWE PPVs have ended with a shot of Roman holding up the title victorious. I bet it at this point it is well over 50, of not 75.

 

I usually agree with him but he tweets too much

 

those Heyman comments were very in-character to be clear, he straddled that line throughout but was def in villain mode for those comments

 

There has been talk of Cody kind of “running the gauntlet” and taking down big name after big name on the road to getting back to Roman for WM40 so who does he feud with next? And if that was the plan, why have him start with Brock, there’s no one really above him besides Roman. Unless they just throw him in random matches like they did with Dom. Which, that isn’t a bad thing, not every match needs some elaborate story especially with each Bloodline segment/match taking 5 years, having Cody just put on one-off good/great matches with Styles, Kofi, Chad Gable, Sheamus, etc. would at least be entertaining.

Honestly almost expecting Cody to be the one to beat Gunther once he passes Honky Tonk Man and either it will be another title vs title match or he gives it up after winning the Rumble or EC to challenge Roman setting up “I ended Gunther’s record streak, now I end yours” but idk if they can pull that off as a face move.

However, keep booking Roman to win like shit with 8 million interferences per match and Cody will still be face so whatever lol

 

Orton is the natural choice for a long feud I think given their history, but who knows when he will be back from injury.

 

I was gonna say LA Knight might end Gunther's streak, then I remembered they're on different brands, and Knight is most likely to dethrone Theory for the US title.

 

Is SS worth watching?

 

Wow my god that I pray to nightly, Bryan Alvarez, will be a playable character in Wrestlequest! Along with daddy meltzer obvi.

 

Vikingo retained the Dreamwave title both nights. He has two other belts already so he needs a Reigns-like entourage next time he’s on TV.

 

Maybe just the Rollins match

 

Yeah, I'm not gonna be able to do a 4th night of live wrestling tonight. Definitely a recovery day. Happy that I didn't end up spending too much money on merch this weekend. Just grabbed a Speedball pin/photo and some AJ Styles gloves.

 

My top weekend highlights are Effy riding an invisible motorcycle for Olde Wrestling, getting to take a shit in the stall next to Honky Tonk Man (he told us to root for Gunther), and Iyo's cash-in.

 

I might have been just wrestle’d out from the weekend, but I didn’t care about anything after Seth/Finn. Even Drew/Gunther I was kind of lukewarm on because I’m just over the forever reigns with most of the main titles now.

 

Man, I was so sad about that. That was easily the one match I really wanted to see. It wasn't a bad match but it was just mehh.

 

I don’t know how anybody can hate the man David Harwood. Dude just has an incredible story. Good human.

 

I watched that Triumph and Tragedy of WCCW doc last night. Now I am looking forward to that Iron Claw movie even more. Well "looking forward" might be the wrong phrasing because it is going to be the most depressing film of 2023.

I also now also now curious how or even if they they're going to recreate Flair vs Kerry for the NWA title at Texas Stadium. You cannot properly tell this story without showing that moment, but it was at an huge NFL Stadium in front of 30,000 people. I don't think A24 has the budget for that lol

 

It’s not so much for me that Roman keeps winning, it’s the way he’s booked to win imo. Interference after interference is just ridiculously stupid at this point and predictable

 

i just don't know what they do with Roman's reign now, in a perfect world the Bloodline would have fallen apart just prior to Reigns' loss, but now it is August, he is out of the Bloodline orbit as of Saturday, and we have to wait til April? either they have got some surprises up their sleeve, or this reign is gonna be remembered in part due to an interminable final act

 

It took us an hour to get out of the parking garage we were in. It was miserable
