almost to the point of insanity how similar the layout of Roman’s matches have been over the last year, maybe even two

 

It jumped the shark when Cody lost; there was never a way to recover unless it was Cody doing a superCena level run through bosses to get back to Roman tonight and winning.

Now they're just playing out the pieces they should have been playing out after Roman lost the belt

 

Like everyone by this point knew it was going to be dumb bullshit but its stunning just how dumb bullshit that was.

 

Oh I forgot about War Games. Yeah they can easily stall this.

 

Roman winning clean here would've been a whole lot better

 

The worst part is that none of this matters if Jey doesn’t take the belt of Roman. I know we all say Cody, but why tell this 3 year story if that’s not the outcome. And you know they’re never going to let Jey be champion

 

Truly tho the writers probably have no idea how to drag this out till Mania so they’ll just have everyone turn in each other a handful of times till then

 

That’s WWE booking tho - they don’t know how to tell stories or build long term

 

There was a second where it looked like Roman was going to retain with Solo turning on him, and they were going to do a "Roman sits at the table alone" thing which could have cool and interesting. But this is getting convoluted as hell at this point.

 

The layout of this match had me tune out so so quickly, reminds me of SO many Roman big show main event matches.

 

So what’s gonna be jimmy’s reasoning? He couldn’t be second in command to his brother or something

lol this is so fucking dumb

 

So wild how they book Roman vs Gunther. Both are heels but Gunther never has interference or cheap finishes while Roman needs 2-3 people and usually a ref bump to remain. Also interesting how many times they have Roman down for a 3-count but no ref to count it.

And I get it, it’s part of the story they’re telling (I think that’s why they do it) but humorous how as a face Roman could conquer anything while the heel version needs so much help

 

I understand that Bloodline segments do absolutely dumb numbers for them on TV and YouTube etc


but this is entering late 90s NWO swerve bullshit at this point

He's never wrestling again. He had no film projects from Jan-WM39, Roman was the hottest thing going, and the show was in LA. If it was happening, it was then.

There's no way they drag this out to WM40 for Roman to beat The Rock

 

If it were me writing from this point, I’d have a dejected Jey say he’s taking some time away after his brother turned on him. Have Roman say he’s stepping away because he’s beaten everyone including his own family. Then actually have them leave for a few months and try to pick it back up in November

 

Jimmy was the one that turned on Roman first and Jey had his back every step of the way. Makes very little sense for Jimmy to betray Jey.

Ricochet/Paul was match of the night. Io cashing in was moment of the night.

 

Cole said "this is Romans first singles match since WM" in the entrances and I was like "oh, they can do 4 months without a Roman singles match, they could make this last 2 more years if they want to keep creating and burning faces"

But yeah, Romans not wrestling Payback/Fastlane. He'll do some one-off at the Saudi show, do War Games, do a Rumble match, probably against Solo where the family finally crumbles...and then he'll lose at WM40 to whoever
