  1. That’s not what I’m referring to at all lmao

It’ll be interesting to see how many women’s matches they book for All In - if it’s just one then that’s really poor form

  7. Ruby is the only wrestler I’ve ever physically seen go into the crowd after a show (it was like 400 people tops) and personally greet and talk to EVERY girl in the crowd. Young or not.

And then proceeded to bring every girl that wrestled on the card into the ring and teach them shit.

I mean there are local guys here who have been doing this shit for 10+ years that are great wrestlers but haven't really made a name outside of the area. They certainly don't lack talent -- I don't think they are diffcult to work with all the other local guys say great things about them -- and they aren't delusional. They just never got the right breaks. (@koryoreo gets three guesses the main guy I'm thinking about here)

If you wanna make it big, talent certainly helps -- its basically a necessity (unless you've got nepotism). But as with pretty much everything in life, a lot of success is luck. There are so many things that can go wrong for a wrestler that is totally out of their control. Maybe they get an injury at the wrong time. Maybe they get on a promoter's bad side through no fault of their own. Maybe they have an off night at big show and that clouds people's judgement of them for a while. Maybe they just didn't get the right chance until it was too late.

It's easy for people who have made it to act like not making it is simply because you're not good enough but that is rarely the case. Yeah, it helps to be good at what you do. But you 100% should be listening to the people who didn't make it. Because yeah, some of them are probably just sour grapes. But if you just reject everyone who didn't make it, you're going to miss out on understanding why people who should've made it didn't, and thus miss out on being able to improve things so the next time around those people do make it. You're never going to have a perfect system cause luck will always be a factor, but you can also always still be looking to improve.

Yeah Ruby is about as legit as it gets. Gonna be real, never even heard of Lufisto until the Fightful story. I expected AEW to defend their own. But like, Ruby is about as a good person as can be. It didn’t add up to me then, and I’m glad folks are speaking up now in defense. Like I said yesterday, this was back in 2021 well before the locker room talks happened to get people back on track.

Hmm, Artemis Spencer would be my number one guess. Dude is insanely talented, but never made a splash outside of a PWG appearance or two. Dude was super fucking over as DEFY champ, but Covid really fucked up his momentum. Schaff would be my 2nd guess. Ditto for the Covid thing. My last guess would be Ethan HD who is personal favorite. Dude is a great local talent with tons of Charisma/experience that never got a break anywhere. I definitely agree with everything you’re saying.

Feel like MJF’s statement is a little in the Brain Strowman response category. I get they probably want or expect him to say something but saying someone’s view isn’t valid because they haven’t made it ain’t it. Also the truth is probably somewhere in between with all this. If only they’d unionize.

This whole situation is dumb and just like, why do people need to feel so strongly about taking sides in backstage drama? This stuff wouldn't blow up if people just...didn't give a shit. One person can have a negative experience with a liked person...and like, there's probably not a single wrestler who hasn't done something to piss off somebody. Doesn't need to blow up into a huge thing where there needs to be retribution

The slow reveal out to Renee is just inspired...obviously stat is great, but Renee's gonna go down as the GOAT backstage interviewer in the business.
