Crazy match. A lot of "standing waiting here for the spot" though. Maybe it was the camera work but it was very obvious on a couple spots.

 

I was really glad they put the broadcast up on the big screen for Blood & Guts. There was so much going on, and I didn't have a great vantage point of the ring they barely used, so I was looking back and forth from the screen to the rings a lot.

They didn't have them on at any other point during the night.

 

My buddy is pretty big with wrestling figs and he just keeps sending me all the announcements WWE is putting out today. Like motherfucker, I don't need to buy anymore stuff. Stop it!

 

Never get sick of this. Might be the best finisher in wrestling.

 

I have been explicitly told that when we stop paying for wedding stuff that I am not allowed to get into figure collecting even though we'll have extra money, it's bullshit

 

My wife and I are going to a Dreamwave show the day after our baby shower & it was not as hard of a sell as I thought.

 

Probably cause Gringo Loco is on it. Gringo's a draw.

 

I think a big part of this is that the WWE scripts their matches out a little more too...entire careers have gone down the toilets because they missed the pre-planned spots (looking at Braun, for example) in a few matches...whereas AEW seems to trust their guys to work it out in the ring, but, that also means production is flying blind sometimes.

Like, I have to imagine War Games is meticulously planned...and is why they always do the same 2-3 "stand off" style spots to get everyone on the same page for each section...whereas Blood and Guts/Anarcy in the Arena/etc has always felt like "hey guys, work a bunch of 1v1 matches and we'll try and film them"

 

I can't stop watching and laughing at the Ibushi tacks video. The genuinely concerned "What the hell is wrong with you? Ibushi, WHY!?" from the dude in the crowd is so perfect.

 

I don’t mind a lil chaos. Letting a bunch of guys go wild has been fun every time imo, production issues aside they’ve usually been important to storyline or at least fun spectacle

 

I wish this was real

 

Its almost certainly that way too because all the dudes in AEW absolutely hated the WWE pre-planned style. AEW's had plenty of crazy moments as well...just would be nice if they didnt miss key things like the rubbing alcohol last year, etc.

But if the trade-off is FCA/Brawl matches that are actually brawls, I'll take it

 

Fuck yeah! Willow and Athena is the main event on Friday.

saw someone say that Kommander v. Gravity got added for tonight, thought it was a joke. now am learning Gravity is a real wrestler/Bandido fam member. i demand that Gravity the Luchador be like Captain Toad and be unable to jump

 

Heh JD sucks. They could be something, but it’s lame, no new members…? No betrayal’s since Edge which was too fast and too early. Lame stable…
