They missed like 4 moments with Kenny and Kota. Kind of rough night during that match for the production crew.

  5. Yeah idk if the fucking smash/jump cut zoom WWE bullshit or missing key moments all together is worse sometimes..

  6. I much prefer WWE's camera work over AEW's

like AEW has the better wrestling hands down but WWE wipes the floor with them in terms of production value but AEW will get there soon

a lot of folks lament the production of the US NJPW shows but i love them tbh, few cameras so they're very focused and miss little (broadcast issue from venue not withstanding). i love a wrestling show that uses a lot of hardcam and wish more would go for that look

Was a nice callback to Hangman choking him out with the chain, so Mox genuinely knew the pain Yuta was suffering.

I'd take missing stuff any day of the week if it means not having stupid impact zooms on EVERY SINGLE HIT. Honestly, every wrestling company should just shoot like Japan does. They have their zooms setup perfectly.

Yeah not to be that WWE guy but this match was too hard to follow. It felt like certain guys disappeared for the majority of the match, like Hangman for example. Although I was also thrown off by his gear. I don’t know how produced this match was but I feel like in WWE the production crew is able to follow the story of the match better probably because of it.

And yes the world can do without the stupid zooms WWE does

I'm realizing I really don't care for matches that are more then 3 v 3.

I wasn't too excited and I didn't really enjoy Anarchy in the Arena or last nights match. These matches were fun the first time and maybe the second but to do it yearly really gets stale for me. It's just logically hard to follow and when you add a shaky AEW production crew it really can take a lot of steam out of it. I also feel like everything has been done in the past few years with these matches, there's nothing too original you can do. The guys last night are talented enough to come up with some creative spots for sure, but idk these types of matches never rank anywhere near MOTY for me.

There's a time/place for the car crash TV matches & I think AEW kind of pushes it with how often they use them, especially during the summer. Last year felt like an endless stream of arena, war games, barbed wire & coffin matches that you eventually got desensitized to.

Yeah, I was really excited to see the match live, especially after seeing WWE's sanitized (but also very good) version in the same building last November, but had I been watching on TV, I don't know that I would've been looking forward to it all that much. There's definitely an over-reliance on this style of match.

It's why I've enjoyed Collision so much these first few weeks.

If I ever become "desensitized" to barbed wire, then wrestling might not be for me anymore lol.

Chanting “we want tables”, immediately being rewarded with having a table brought out, only to switch it up to “we want fire” is maybe my favorite thing a crowd has ever done

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Blood and guts is definitely better live. The Detroit one was insane in person, watching it back on TV, I definitely get why people aren’t as into it. There’s just so much going on for a couple cameras to try and capture the mayhem
