I mean the same thing has happened with Sami. He was as over as can be and now his tag title run is completely forgettable. They just don’t know what to do when anyone gets over on their own. I do think LA Knight does have a ceiling regardless though. He’s up there in age and his in ring skills are average at best. There’s so many better workers in the company.

 

There's a ceiling for anyone not involved with The Bloodline, especially on Smackdown. The most you can do with him right now is a US Title program & that's not the worst thing in the world. You get fans invested in that belt for a month or so & see what happens. I enjoy LA Knight, but it also kind of reminds me of Enzo & Cass from around 2016 where they were super hot with the crowd and always took losses.

 

Honestly someone like LA Knight or even Sami doesn’t even need a title. Just give them something important to do week to week. Give them some kind of blood feud or interesting storyline with a good payoff. I’m trying to think of some examples but nothing is coming to mind lol.

 

Finished watching this week's NXT and yeah, it's absolutely hilarious how Dave rated Breakker/Dragunov the same as Kommander/Jericho. Unsurprising given how close he is with Jericho but still.

 

I've only watched a few of Dragunov's matches but he sells everything like he is passing a kidney stone.

 

She definitely botches quite a bit, but I still love her haha
