i have tickets to Death Before Dishonor in less than a month and there are no matches announced! how did TKROH PPVs have better builds before they had TV?!

i'm sure they are waiting to see who walked out of Forbidden Door in one piece for some of the talent but i am gettin' restless

 

Lol ordered this over three months ago and it's now just starting to ship out.

 

Quick initial thoughts on Fight Forever:

Def a bit of a learning curve to the gameplay. I'm also just very used to 2Ks controls so that could be it too. some incredibly dumb choices in the creation suite. When creating an entrance, the entrance themes aren’t named by performer, it’s the actual names of the songs so if you’re creating Kenny Omega you have to find battle cry, not Kenny Omega. the entirety of the creation suite is incredibly limited aside from moveset. Gameplay is fun, and is probably a blast with friends

 

Yeah might start getting some matches announced tonight. Seems like one match could be Eddie/Claudio but with Eddie doing the G1 tournament idk lol

 

The reviews on Fight Forever are about how I expected. Seems like a fun game especially with friends, but will need to be greatly substantiated with DLC and add ons to be the game it aspires to be.

 

which is why I am not paying $60 for it

Eh I appreciate that it’s $60 instead of $70 at least and I’ve been waiting forever for this. You’ll probably be able to get it for $30-$40 around Christmas though lol

 

Elite version gives a day early access. It was on sale for $72 and comes with all the season one DLC so I decided to get it. Well worth $12 for FTR, Keith Lee, Matt Hardy, Danhausen, Hook and more mini games.

 

Only thing that feels “bad” to me so far is the career mode. It’s pretty underwhelming


Also JR is horrid. They gotta figure something out lol


Roster is good, mini games are really fun, gameplay loop is a blast if you enjoyed the N64 wrestling games

 

Trenton, NJ is the perfect armpit for a Kingston crowning moment and I say that with all affection

but yeah G1 seems it would block that, but I don't know how that schedule shakes out. an international round trip for an ROH match amid the G1 would be metal but maybe not the best move for the dude coming back off of procrastinated hernia surgery lol. i have no idea who else they've built up, i could maybe see Joe but he's heeling lately idk

 

all i needed to hear lol

 

I holding off purchase until someone can confirm that I can create Black Taurus in the game.

 

Dir En Grey gets a shout out in the game.

 

There's thumbtacks. This might be my new favorite game.

 

Going to be very funny when Dynamite gets it’s lowest rating ever because everyone is playing the game.

 

Joe is the current tv champ so he'll probably be defending it. I've caught bits and pieces of the weekly show but I have no idea if there are any feuds going on rn lol

 

Plus it's a very meh card.

 

i've seen a lot of chatter about Claudio not working the weekly show in weeks but not much else

 

Just played the mini games. Some of them are definitely fun and if they add enough I’d love to see a cheap, Mario party ripoff to make them more interesting haha
