oh yeah dude always delivers - match is gonna be insane

 

I mean, completely fair that they could have shaved 5 or 10 minutes. Honestly, make Callis banned from ringside (under AEW), and you can still do the same spot and avoid the first 5mins of that match, basically.

This though; I love it. Maybe my favorite part of wrestling is that they can get a completely nonsensical object over. A diamond ring. A potted plant. A clipboard. A bag of chips. And that it can carry a whole story and let wrestlers load it with emotion as they choose. Too much of the sport borrows from the athletics/combat side of things....give me the theater side all day

 

Singing a fozzy song on camera has got to be like a top 5 embarrassing thing on the planet

 

I mean, we were all (rightfully) saying that MJF v Danielson in a 60-minute Ironman match that was obviously gonna end in a tie was a bad idea...and it was the match of the year until this PPV started

 

sting's face paint is so dope tonight

 

See I know it’s a screw driver and not a knife but something about acting like it’s life or death takes me out a little. But I’m all for any other random items.

 

they should give this match 45 min

 

NAITO AND STIIIIIIIIINNNNGGGGGGGGG

 

I dont know how to explain to 2018 me that this match exists. Naito was so damn over in NJPW, but bogged down by the reality that Kenny and Okada were running things. Sting was never gonna wrestle again. Jericho looked like a WWE part timer for life. And Sammy/Darby were on an indies->NXT path

 

I’ve only seen like one Naito match but damn look at him in a full on prom tuxedo and shit

Y’all spoke it into existence with the baby conversation earlier but looks like I’ll have to try to watch these last 2 matches later. Dad duty is calling

I was just chuckling that Sammy and JB were both working *full* face against MJF like a month ago...and Darbys currently the only face left from that match

 

My daughter's been teething and started a near-freakout like 25mins into that Omega/Ospreay match...sprinted those spare pacifiers upstairs and told her the match had a 60min time limit
