WrestleMania was a lot of fun with only 1 or 2 blah matches and only a few puzzling decisions (Cinnamon Toast Crunch lol) but weird with how last-few-years WCW it felt to start and end the show.

Theory with the low blow to win made me shudder thinking of all the Brock low blows and Styles/Nak crotch smacks for months on end in their feud

  2. Imagine if Sami and KO lose the belts tonight lol

  3. It looks like the match will be used to break up the team they're facing, most likely

Its funny because I totally get it. The bloodline and Roman are the biggest entities in the company. I'm not denying that. I don't even think its time to stop them, break them up, or anything. Its a hot concept, keep it going.

But.... Cody winning the title doesn't hurt any of that. If anything it can give the bloodline a new wrinkle and hell, Cody could lose at Summerslam or whatever but no worries.

Let's get these people moving faster!

I think its representative of the fact they're more concerned about their champions (faces of the company) and records than they are about best telling or paying off their stories.

I'd add, I caught up on the like 50 pages from the weekend, and am surprised by how many people think the Rock winning is the appropriate escalation, especially once he beat Cody. I can't fathom how a retired wrestler, even with the pop culture cache of the Rock, beating the 10-year face of the company, who otherwise had beaten the roster twice over, would be the right payoff to this story? Sure, I'd appreciate him being involved in the Bloodline, but him taking the belt buries the whole roster and leaves no path forward either to set up the next conquering hero.

    Other things in the report:
    - "Those that we spoke to in WWE were adamant that even if Vince McMahon is involved in the "top levels of creative," Triple H will be the person in Gorilla position leading the charge." My note: Sounds like this is how it has been working for some time
    - SRS was told the finish to last night had nothing to do with the merger
    - HHH kicking off Raw

  10. Wonder how raw will do in the ratings against the NCAA title game

  11. Roman is apparently involved in HHH kicking off the show

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

HHH is definitely splitting the titles which is such a cop out

Yup. There were so many potential storyline ways to do it. To roll out the head of creative to just announce a business decision would be the lamest way to address the issue.

Splitting the titles without even an angle to push it that way would be such a WCW move lol

  17. People wanted to see Cody beat Roman to become the champ. It makes it super cheap getting a title on him through splitting the belts and doing whatever they do from there.

What do they do? A tournament on RAW? It doesn't really help anyone to have Cody beat Rollins again or some other random guy.

    Gang, I'm really worried.

After last night's shocking loss of Cody Rhodes and today's sale of WWE...

...we're all overlooking how absolutely hilarious it was that after booking a Rumble so bad in 2022 that he was fired, noted fail son Shane McMahon made his surprise return to WWE and promptly tore a quad.

There’s almost no ways they can course correct this to get it to be as big of a moment as it would been last night - even if they swerve and have Cody win tonight it wouldn’t be quite the same - that it might be the lesser of two evils to have Roman lose the belt(s) in a fatal four way or triple threat or Elimination Chamber match where he doesn’t get pinned because idk who they think they can build up to be the one to take Roman down and majority of the roster has already had a shot.

Unless you throw Gunther in there and/or maybe Sheamus since at least those two haven’t faced Roman 1 on 1 to fill the next few months.

Although wayyyyy back when the Bloodline story started I thought it would end with one of the Uso’s beating him but that was way before we got to 900+ days. Could still get there I guess but idk - does anyone think Jey or Jimmy are viewed that way? Unless Solo turns and they shoot him to the moon for the Summerslam match but that doesn’t do him or Roman any good

I was thinking this too - who brought him back? Was it Vince? Seems like that is unlikely but idk who else would have other then a super high executive but why lol
