We know how Bobby’s feeling but has anyone checked on LA Knight? He didn’t even get to make a brief appearance.

If anything they might just drop the Universal belt because there’s no need for it anymore. It would help if anyone gave a damn about the US Title.

The shows didn’t do much for anyone that wasn’t already big. It helped Gunther maybe the most, but he’s obviously a champ already.

That’s a shame when you think about it.

    el oh fucking el

like you fucking burn a generational opportunity with Sami winning in front of his home crowd to... waste a generational opportunity with Cody having the comeback story?

honestly just hilarious at this point

Roman is one of the best WWE heels ever. You can’t argue that. For years he was criticized for being a garbage attempt at a face and all the attempts to get him over as such failed. He did the unthinkable by aligning with Heyman and then proceeded to become a top tier heel. I mean I remember thinking that it would never happen with him. It’s cool to see and I know it’s rough when deserving guys like Sami and Cody get caught up in the steamrolling that has become the legacy of heel Roman and the bloodline. Sami at least has something to show for it and you know Cody’s time will come. It’s inevitable. But the Roman booking tonight was a gutsy move for WWE. And it was a commitment to what has been the best WWE faction by far for awhile now. Cody winning would have likely meant Roman leaving or moving on to Hollywood and that would not have been a good thing right now. I’m excited to see where it goes and more intrigued than I would have been if Cody won.

I can't believe roman went into business for himself and SHOOT speared Cody

I don't mind Roman retaining, it's just like....who's gonna be the one to do it? They might as well go 1000 days now

Definitely bummed Asuka didn't win though

From Fightful Select: Roman winning was set a few weeks ago. Unsure when talent was made aware of the finish, but the interference elements of the match weren't told to talent until yesterday. Continued to reiterate that all of his sources within the company denied that Vince was involved with the booking

Jimmy and Jey helping Roman made absolutely no sense. The way Solo was used was really stupid.

yeah, more than roman winning in general, the use of the usos was the thing I disliked the most about the match. solo coming back, fine, you can make that work. The Usos helping Roman with no follow up to them not only losing the titles, but Jay has been saying he needed to do the things he's done for a larger reason. None of that referenced. Bad stuff

Yup, and not only that you probably could have solidified Jey as a top singles guy going forward.

Makes total sense to me. Usos now make a bug deal out of them helping Roman win, Roman not helping them. Bloodline starts to crumble rather quickly. Uses cost Roman title after 1000 days

I still think Austin turning heel at 17 is still the worst booking decision of all time

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

    I fell asleep

but lmao of course they couldn’t make the easy decision. It’s just laughable at this point. This company is so bad at their big moments at their biggest PPVs. Just fumbling the back over and over.

maybe the title change happens at Summerslam. It’s a stadium show and they’ll want a big match for it. But still. Paying off at Summerslam instead of Mania is a bummer

selfishly I’ll be okay with it if the reign ends there lol

Not only could they have had the feel good ending all Mania’s should have, they could have had a selling point to any AEW guys thinking about jumping ship. “We just gave the last guy to come over the main event of Mania and the title. Sign here please”

I really don’t want another fucking year of Roman. It’s been good, but that was the right time to end it.
