As someone that’s not from the US, and has no idea what I’m talking about. The move from TNT seems like not great news for AEW. The extra hour is great but yeah.

 

It’s really fine, as long as they put proper marketing promotion into this there shouldn’t be much of a difference. I’m not sure why they couldn’t just do what fox does and put it on tbs when they have to rather than moving it permanently but maybe they felt that was an eventuality regardless.

Also seeing Skyler Story (Brandi Lauren) and Ezra Judge gone.

 

TNT is going to have NHL on Wednesday’s starting in the fall. That’s why the move was made to put it on TBS permanently. With NBA/NHL Tuesday-Thursday they had no choice but to move AEW if they don’t want to go head to head with WWE.

 

Kinda curious if the Jessamyn is "as a wrestler" or if she's released outright.

TBS and TNT, in every provider I've been a part of, are channels 1 space apart on the dial...and neither is providing anything other than movies and re-runs as lead-in to AEW, so I'd call it a wash. Honestly, the thing that was crushing AEW the most each Weds was The Big Bang Theory airing on TBS...so, as long as TNT is still promoting AEW on TBS, its moot. Whereas a knock down to Tru-TV would be like WWE going from Fox to FS1.

Running their 3rd hour at 10pm on a Friday is NOT good however. I get trying to piggy back off Smackdown, but, its the absolute worst time slot you can get that isnt like, 11am on a Saturday. They should have been begging to be the show that aired after Wipeout

Sowwwwy i gotta get this off my chest somewhere: tomorrow's my last day at work where i was for 11 years. I'll soon move across the country to start a better job and reunite with my lady who already moved there in january for a better job. I was incredibly lonely and fucked up sitting in our apartment alone the past 5 months. I am very happy to permanently be with her again and i am excited for the new job. Still i feel quite nervous to leave my old job and my hometown. It's a move from Germany's 3rd largest city to Germany's 4th largest. I wish i was more American in the sense that i don't panic about moving so much. It's all so bittersweet. It has nothing to do with wrestling. I drank a little and needed to write that down.

 

Thanks! I presume it’s going to hurt them in the short term when they do move but hopefully they will still have the backing of the network.

I feel like they have the most loyal audience of basically any show I know (wrestling or not), so they'll almost assuredly hit 900k as usual the week they move (maybe even more if they run a mini-PPV on that date).

AEW's lead in is gonna be a lot of Big Bang Theory/Friends/Family Guy type shows instead of a random ass movie, so that might also help in terms of people sticking around.
