Yeah, I don’t think it was obvious that Lee was supposed to win. Feels like Vince soured on him weeks ago

  2. Edge winning in 2021 is so fucking dumb but it’s very on brand for WWE

The worst part about it is much he didn’t need it at all. Seems like a real waste in that regard.

Kinda interesting how out of shape Kane got once he was off the roster.

This is why I have to assume the plan was Keith Lee. He had a 20min match with McIntyre on legends night; but he lost so he needs the new thing to give him the reason to challenge again. Whereas, we know time and again, a dude who's been a title holder and is a legend (see: Edge, D-bry, etc) can just be promo'd into any match come WM time.

They basically re-booked a mix of the 1999 and 2016 Royal Rumble...even down to AJ's goon taking out people a la the Wyatts family after they were eliminated. Guess I shouldnt be surprised they whiffed on the ending again as well.

  9. A Bryan-Rollins WM match would be cool

  10. I love Edge but I hate him winning the rumble - where’s the angle?

  11. I guess Edge-Roman?

Either that or Orton wins the title between now and WM, which would suck because that match doesn’t need the title.

There were plenty of times that Roman was incapacitated longer than 3 seconds. Why not cash in, Miz? And is there anyone more useless based on how they are being used than John Morrison?

A Rollins/Cesaro feud could be cool

And it would be cool to see Edge and Christian have a legitimate tag match one more time

    He’s a draw. That’s the angle.

  15. So why does he need to win the royal rumble? He’s a draw no matter what - put over someone else or give Bryan his overdue rumble win etc

This company is as bad as WCW with pushing old talents and not pushing young guys. Kinda crazy that they don’t have anyone under the age of 30 to push. Even the guys we want to win are in their mid 30’s. Such a different time than when The Rock, Brock, Orton, And Cena all won the title before they were 28.

  17. Well prime years for wrestlers are usually between 30-40

I agree, but the build up is bigger with Edge and will draw in more viewers than if it were just some other match.

This is Vince’s go to move.

I can’t see Miz cashing in successfully at all.

Oh man, when Roman put KO through the LED board...if Miz creeps up from behind and hits Skull Crushing Finale on Roman, that would actually have been amazing swerve booking.

Thats not even touching what D-Bry winning the Rumble thereafter would mean...

  21. I don’t think Edge winning the rumble is gonna move the dial at all haha

  22. It’s crazy how we can book this shit so much better than the people running WWE lol

I’m just saying those guys were pushed super young and it’s been forever since WWE pushed young, fresh talent. Rock won his first title at 26, Cena 27, Orton 24, Lesnar 25. I’d argue all of those guys had primes between the ages of 25-32. The only guy in that range right now would be maybe Adam Cole and he is at the end of that age range.

  24. Yeah that’s true but that’s why WWE is struggling
