It's on my "to-be-watched" pile along with some recent Dragon Gate.

The Dragunov/Dunne vs Imperium tag match from a few weeks before the Dragunov/WALTER match was really fucking good too. Just got over shadowed.

  4. I'm not buying any PPVs until crowds are back

it just feels even more fake without crowds hah

Yeah, it seems a risky bet with a network that has 1.1million current subscribers...so, assuming 100% of them move to NBC, you're talking maybe $60mil/yr, and that assumes there's no overlap with existing users (surely there is).

But, kind of makes sense to bring it over from a "look at all this content we have" side of things.

  6. Comcast should just fucking buy WWE at this point haha

I get it. My interest is definitely minimal, but the rumble is always a favorite of mine and WM will have a crowd (though it’s a really dumb decision). Plus now that football is basically over I have more time to invest in a few PPVS. Definitely will not watch Raw or SD until crowds come back.

It definitely is a super risky bet that overvalues the Network’s worth and popularity. It’s an obvious ploy to add content since Peacock is well behind other platforms in that department, but comes at a crazy cost. They’ve been wasting the EPL by putting the best games on there which seems like a terrible decision to me. Unless they think they can grow the WWE fanbase through Peacock I don’t really agree with this move from a business standpoint.

All that said, WWE made out big time in this deal and are super smart to sell the content for such a huge price.

    • Comcast buys WWE
    • Comcast gets rid of overhead costs of a traveling live show
    • Comcast sets up WWE Studio in unused portion of Universal Studios
    • Now every WWE show is in -- what was -- the Impact Zone.
    It's perfect.

I think a lot faster than that. When the Fox deal is coming due to be negotiated again in 2023, I think that's the time that Comcast just buys it all up and puts Vince on an exit path. He'll be nearly 80 by then, and I cant see anything happening between now and then that doesnt see RAW routinely barely clearing 1.5mil fans.

Does Peacock not do live streaming? Having live Raw would be a bold way to get people to actually sign up for the thing. Is NBC just afraid of... canabalizing their own viewership?

Peacock does live stream EPL. RAW draws USA’s best ratings and is a longtime mainstay on the network. Zero chance it gets moved to Peacock.

NBC axing NBCSN probably means a lot more sports oriented content on USA and I think they are trying to make USA a stronger network with that move so moving RAW to Peacock would make zero sense.

Really hope they dont do one of those "women entering #1 dominates for a while", because that's how I get Lana with this spot, instead of like a Bayley or Charlotte going Ironwoman
