just a very disappointing episode for it being a one year celebration. No surprise title changes was odd. Thought Swole would win.

 

That world title tournament looks super predictable. I hope Jungle Boy or Fenix wins but if it's not Page/Omega in the finals I'll be shocked lol

 

I know there's a lot of people that aren't loving Miro in AEW, but jesus I can't wait until he turns on Kip and just destroys him. MJF/Jericho was dumb as fuck and I loved it.

Was dark Cody only a week long thing? that's so stupid.

Dynamite was pretty bad again, which is a shame after a month or so of great shows. Maybe the amount of wrestling I'm consuming with g1 and n1 has hurt it for me. BTE is the best thing of AEW now.

I believe so. There was only one match so far with one person unmasking.

my attempt at adding some perspective:

there's NO WAY that aew gives away omega/page for free on television first. i predict neither of them will be in the finals, with page/omega co-main eventing full gear. want to watch omega/page? pay 40$.

Yep; and theres just no believability for anyone but Page/Omega. If there was someone like an MJF or Darby or Page/Omega were in the same bracket, I could see it going another way.

Yeah, I'd be absolutely shocked if the final wasn't Page/Omega. You knew from the moment they split that they were gonna have some sort of high stakes match soon

 

They changed Toni's entrance music too :(

The new one is fine, and honestly the old one wasn't that great. I just wish they kept the MMPR-inspired intro

It is me, or has Toni had like 5 different songs since her first appearance on WWE?

 

She probably had a super generic one for MYC, but I think she had the MMPR one the whole time she officially signed with NXT. Maybe I'm wrong, though? It really wasn't that memorable of a theme aside from the intro

 

I don’t remember her being in regular NXT

 

She never was. Regular on NXTUK, though.

 

Plus she was part of the NXT Survivor Series team, too, and I think they teased her and Rhea for the NXT title sometime around then too, but I don't think it panned out. I vaguely recall it looking like they were setting up Io, Bianca, and Toni chasing the title at the same time when Rhea had it early in the year

 

Currently rewatching the Mox/Omega unsanctioned match from Full Gear. Totally forgot about the mousetrap board and how it became my new favorite deathmatch weapon.

 

I love AEW, but damn it, by now i am getting really annoyed by the young bucke. They just aren't good actors. And i dislike the whole "no real heels, no real faces" thing aew likes to do.

 

I guess we’ll be hearing Trips say “we found nothing” again pretty soon. Ugh.
