and for as much as people are talking about the champions being ex wwe, there’s a lot of guys who didn’t make their name there in very prominent positions.

I just don’t get the too many guys from wwe critique. Wwe has the largest talent pool of wrestlers, of course they’ll take ex wwe guys.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

It's like saying WWE/NXT have too many PWG guys. Who cares where they started. They're talented and deserve jobs for a reason.

I completely agree, but just wanted to make the point.

Long term booking idea: when PAC comes back, he joins Kingston's stable. There are tensions bc of who is closer to the Lucha bros, until Eddie gets kicked out and turns face.

Im absolutely floored how prominent they've made Orange Cassidy. Like...the gimmick requires such patience AND you need a couple other low-card guys that fans care about to team with him AND you need teams strong enough that they arent hurt by losing a few early feuds.

Devils advocate: on paper I see the “complaints” about it. I don’t know how many times Ambrose has a match against Rusev (let’s say a bunch but maybe was never idk) in the E but if people see they’re feuding they might just think it’s the same thing they’ve already seen. Again, on paper it may look that way.

And for many I think they don’t realize that what wrestlers do in the E isn’t ALL they can do. Like, most have a more varied move set (and maybe even mic skills) then what the E lets them show. The E is built on maybe 5-6 moves per wrestler, so people may think that’s all they’ll see with ex-WWE guys? Like it’s the same person just with a different name but it’s an entirely new character. But again, and I emphasize, on paper, it could look the same to some people, idk.

Yeah, I mean in terms of main guys (Mox, Brodie, FTR, Dustin), all AEW has really done so far is exactly what WWE should have let them do. Then the true WWE vets are basically doing their same shtick (Jericho, Hardy, Cody)

More interesting case will be if/when any women make the move.

I can't get over the street fight from Dynamite. Great match. It really reminded me of Def Jam Vendetta too.

I watched it again last night and I just can't stop smiling at how it ended.

    Also five star Dustin.

Eh, she was a nobody in NXT. It'll be a lot more interesting if a Nikki Cross or a Ruby Riott or like an Ember Moon end up in AEW, because that would signal a pretty big shift.

My list was basically Ember, Sonya, Ruby, and Liv...basically as people who havent really been used in any meaningful way in a long, long time but who all have the skills to be a persistent title threat in any other company

That goes to show how stacked WWE’s women’s division is. Now if they could just be creative enough to rotate them in and out. If they ever cut 205 Live they should replace it with a women’s show and the tag titles could be the headliner of it
