AEW is (mostly) very good.

Yeah I didn’t really know ecw existed in the 90s when I was all in on wcw and wwf. Had I known I might be more into it but the over the top violence turns me off of trying to watch that promotion retroactively.

 

It was certainly a wild time, before it had an actual TV deal, it would come on at like 1 am on Saturdays on the MSG network

Tazz in WWE was the first time I realised that Vince can ruin a wrestler.

 

Both members of AOP have been released

 

FFS. It’s amazing how Vince and Co can make monster teams looks complete crap.

- Ascension? On NXT, they were great. Not amazing, but made to look menacing. Main roster? More face paint. Then a comedy act.

- Sanity? Insanely over in NXT, split up before they even arrived on SD.

- Good Brothers? One of the best tag teams on the planet. Turned into lackeys that can’t win.

And now AOP. Tag teams shouldn’t sign for WWE ever. I barely watch AEW, but if you’re a tag team, that’s where you should go.

 

Brit Baker and Big Swole got moved to the main card tomorrow now, Private Party vs Silver and Reynolds are on the buy in instead

May I ask, in complete sincerity, why you don't watch aew? It has its flaws but it is sooo much more enjoyable than most wwe.

 

TBH NXT is all I really need. I’ve been a huge fan of NXT since the days it was on Sky Sports in the UK, just after it had rebranded from FCW and about a year before it was on the Network. I had just got back into wrestling after Punks pipebomb about a year or so prior, but my interest had started to wane already. NXT was different and I got super into it. And to this day, NXTs two hours midweek is all I really need.

I’ve watched some AEW here and there, but I just can’t get into it. Plus a lot of the roster isn’t that interesting to me. Sure, NXT has a few duds too, but there are far more people I’m interested in watching than in AEW.

Will be definitely trying to give the PPV this weekend a watch, though.
