I really didn’t mind the first half of the rumble being the Brock invitational. I thought it went from “lol” to “Jesus how long are they gonna let this go” in a good way. It made me kinda interested to see a brock gauntlet match haha

And I liked letting Big E and Keith Lee get some offense and actually kinda slow down Brock for a moment. Keith Lee looked like a million bucks and I’m still so ready for the Big E solo run.

His stuff with Ricochet was great. His match with Andrade at WarGames was great. He got shafted by having to deal with Roode, who was the most laughably boring NXT champ.

Also, the tag match he had against Dean/Seth at HIAC was definitely his best match

I don't think a match against Brock Lesnar is really a good opportunity to show you can put on a good match. He isn't exactly the easiest guy to work with in that regard.

idk. Maybe he'll prove me wrong. But what I've seen from him I put him in the same bucket of wrestlers like Roode and Orton who have a couple of interesting things to them but overall just bore me.

    Now that's a hot take

Braun is more of a strong man wrestler (Lesnar, Rusev, Vader) than he is big man. Personally I feel like WWE wastes the talent in that class a lot of time, Braun being a perfect example of that.

I will say, this is the big potential downside. Brock does great with smaller guys (D-Bry, Finn, AJ, Rey, Seth etc); his hoss matches tend to suck. Both his Braun matches were bad and even the Samoa Joe one was kinda blah.

But Drew is more mobile than most big guys, so hopefully they can work with that.

The women’s rumble outcome STINKS. Why even bother?

They should be able to do that for more than a moment. Yeah its better than nothing but its still really not a good look.

Also how the fuck were Fox okay with a Raw guy taking out 7 of the 11 smackdown superstars in the rumble only to get eliminated by a couple from Raw? Smackdown only had three eliminations in total. I'd be pissed if I was them right now. The raw guys by and large got to look good while the smackdown guys were turned into jokes.

Think about this PPV without the men’s rumble...

    Wow...

I mean you got a b level Raw episode in the end.

SD just wont acknowledge the mens rumble happened and talk about Bayley, Roman, and The Fiend instead.

On the flipside his match vs Goldberg a couple years ago was legit the best match he's done in years so who knows maybe Drew can pull it off.

I just can't keep hoping this company will eventually do the right thing anymore, especially their shitty out of the ring behavior like their continued involvement with SA. I hope eventually they turn things around because they have so much talent but I canceled my subscription after the trainwreck that was tonight. Probably once takeover comes around I'll be like "oh wait I still wanna watch this" but might just stick to AEW and just keep an ear to the WWE ground in case they actually turn things around.

Honestly, I don’t agree. They way they’ve built Brock up, letting someone from “the minor leagues” of NXT get any substantial offense in on Brock is a great look.

I really don’t see the problem with the dude who has been built stronger than everyone else ever being booked like he’s stronger than everyone else lol

When he's so much stronger than everyone else that he can take out the biggest strongest guy on all of smackdown without breaking a sweat... its not a well booked division.

There is also no need to drag it out for so long. You can get the message that Brock is stronger than everyone else by feeding him the first 4-5 wrestlers, then put a big guy out there to slow things down enough so that the ring can fill up and his size advantage can get neutralized. That way you don't throw so much of your roster under the bus

Idk, I’m not watching either way, but it doesn’t seem like they’ve had a hard time building an audience. I think whoever said “they’ll just focus on Fiend and Bayley and etc etc etc” was dead on.

I don’t see anyone on this list who should have gotten more of a chance than they did. So I’m fine getting the fodder out of the way early, building Brock as dominant to make Lee’s offense more impressive and Drew’s elimination more meaningful.

doubling down on getting the fodder out of the way, there was a moment where like 7 people were left and I could make a case for any of them winning the Rumble. I don’t mind that one bit.

Tripling down, maybe Smackdown is fine with the rumble results because they’re getting Edge? Who knows.

that Rumble match fucking ruled, including the Brock stuff. Edge was an absolutely unreal moment no matter how rumored it was.

Rowan, Cesaro and Nak don't deserve more than five seconds and the ring and Kofi Kingston, Rey Mysterio, and Big E don't deserve to be able to win a 3-1?

Yeah this is the problem with WWE. It takes legitimate stars and buries them so much people think they are fodder
