I agree. While not having fans will challenge any promotion I feel like WWE and AEW are inadvertently focusing too much on that. Holding back certain angles etc because of no or little fan reaction just emphasizes that there aren't any fans.

Also, its very silly to force people back into untested environments with massive community spread just to run glorified house shows so Vince can keep record profits.

Its precisely because there is no fan reaction and ratings were going to drop anyway that they should have been taking big risks with storylines. Hell, with the taping, they can actually tell multi-week stories that build logically and arent constrained by matches going long, etc.
