there's always a chance - happened last year

 

People said the same thing about Braun. And they said the same thing about Joe. And pretty much everyone else who has gone against Brock and failed over the past few years. Even when Seth and Roman finally took him down, he still got a title back a few months later.

Nothing about tonight makes me think they are gonna abandon their roadmap of the last several years of using Brock as this carrot on the stick that all the wrestlers are chasing only to keep yanking it away once they get close to catching it. In fact, wasting half the rumble getting Brock over just makes me even more convinced its never going to change until Vince kicks the bucket or the TV ratings get low enough the tv companies revolt.

Meh; we see his in almost every Rumble. A big monster starts out strong, gets several eliminations, then gets taken out either by a big group or someone they wan to push. 2017 it was Strowman til Corbin got the elimination. Undertaker + Maven in 2002. 2000 was Rikishi. Last year it was Samoa Joe of sorts until Ali took him out. Michelle McCool sort of got that in the first womens rumble.

Also, the way I know it works is I saw it work 2hrs before. Bianca dominates early (without burying people), Charlotte eliminates her.

 

I don’t even think it was shit booking. They booked a guy super strong, then had someone not only eliminate him, but then win the whole thing. Would’ve been classic WWE booking if they only went half way with it, but they didn’t. They went all the way and now Drew is very clearly the most built up guy

 

I....I don't think they'll do Drew vs. Charlotte vs. Brock

 

Drew's reaction to winning looked so genuine. Like all the shit he went through finally paid off. So great to see.
