Id say I cant believe they had one of their most versatile workers spend all this time in some dumb sideshow, but then I remember KO spent like a year facing Shane McMahon and they turned Sami heel to extend it

 

I thoroughly enjoyed AEW tonight.

Who are these angles ever for? Michael Cole and King served no one. Having these feuds with non-wrestlers just doesn't work for the audience at home. This isn't a JR situation where there was legit heat for the angle. No one gives a shit.

 

Because WWE does dumber shit that gets attention in the short term but is forgotten by the next week

 

Lol if Cole doesn’t beat him in under two minutes then what’s the fucking point

Yeah I don't get why they have Come feuding with a random sports analyst. It isn't going to get them extra publicity as Pat isn't some huge name and its not what fans want at all especially the NXT audience. This has Vince written all over it.

 

i can at least see the “positive” / egotistical swing from the McMahon’s here - of all the people Shane could have propped up and had an angle with they chose KO! You know how specialllllll that isssss?????? You know how many people would love to do that???


Vs Pat McAfee, not many people know who he is and that’s not really bringing any eyes to the product in a good way lol

 

Or at the very least prolonged torturing of him in the ring. I don’t mind him getting in a cheap shot if Cole easily destroys him.

 

also for how small the card is usually for Takeover it's kind of a slap in the face to the other workers that one of those few spots is going to a non-wrestler

this is totally a VKM decision and gimmick.

 

They must have seen the massive fan reaction that the showdown between Adam Cole and Billie Kay got on Battle of the Brands, with Billie Kay whipping his ass, and decided it'd translate to NXT

 

While I’d love to see him back in the ring, I hope this is just that he’s starting a school or something
