I wonder if selling is such a habit that if a wrestler like bumped into the counter or something at home if they just grab their arm and start selling instinctively

 

Raw ratings went up last night

 

Ratings going up isn't necessarily a good thing, that show was a trainwreck lol

 

show was trash, but its impressive that they put on that show with that hook and increased ratings on a night with basketball, baseball, and hockey all going up against it

 

It's an ok rating for sure considering how things have been lately. They did a lot to try to intrigue people, but everything fell flat. They shouldn't have spoiled the new faction gimmick especially since nothing came to fruition last night. A slow burn without any spoilers would have been smarter if they weren't gonna deliver last night.

The 2nd hour did pretty well, but I don't see anything they did having any staying power. I still feel like they are not going to increase much over time once basketball playoffs start and especially if the football season happens. Hockey playoffs aren't in their full swing yet and the Pelicans/Grizz, Lakers/Jazz aren't marquee matchups so I don't think this rating was that great.

Honestly, I'd say the hook that maybe increased it was Shane McMahon appearing. Not quite the novelty it had years back, but, still rare enough that I can see an extra 100k people tuning in.

But what always happens is once the hook is gone, they didnt actually build anything, so ratings keep dropping. Hell, even Brock was doing that by the end of his last run
