That was horribly booked, from start to finish. You have a bunch of nobodies (and Santina lol) for the first 29, boring us into a Charlotte inevitability. Then you bring Shayna out at 30 to lose?? Just so many ways that could've been done better.

Isn't Charlotte a face too? They're gonna boo the fuck out of her

That was far and away the best womens rumble (finish aside), probably no accident since half of it was NXT and newer main roster women.

Get rid of all the vets and suddenly it flows like a real Rumble

 

I think her title reign was incredibly boring, like one of the worst parts of NxT. I separate that from the character though

 

Picked a lot of good ones to be in the match at least lol

 

I seem to recall last years rumble being good? I don’t know. I’ve enjoyed most of the rumbles the last 5 years or so

 

Coulda done without Mighty Molly, Kelly Kelly, and Santina in the rumble

 

Yep, some lazy interference finishes and then putting the title back on her was needless when the roster had plenty of capable people. Bianca should have beaten her and gotten the push, as tonight showed

Bayley's new music sounds like the official theme song to some WWE PPV

 

I still don’t know why Bayley’s heel entrance music sounds like a weird demo of Kane’s

Fightful Select confirms Sasha wasn't in the Rumble because she's hurt. No further information

 

I think last years was better but yeah this was still fine. Charlotte winning is still ultimately a good call. I just wish they didn't undermine Bianca's performance by having Shayna tie her record, and some of the later entrants (Xia, Santina, Zelna) put a damper in things because each one of them meant a superstar we'd be excited to see wasn't coming out.

 

It was much weaker early on; but the back half was better than this years (obviously with Becky). But in terms of mixed spots and some fun moments, this years was every bit as good as most mens rumbles.

And of course, the first years was just really bad.
