I guess it's no surprise the company that carried on with the Saudi show after so much controversy is going to keep this Mania show going.


Is there any update with Cain??? Is he gone? I hope so

 

Also Gronk reportedly close to signing with WWE

 

I hope they throw a huge curveball and have Gronk turn on Mojo during his debut segment. Would be so much better than them as a goofy tag team.

 

What if they do another one of those "Mojo looking at himself in the mirror" segments, but the person looking back at Mojo is Gronk?

 

Crazy irresponsible, as even the NCAA and NFL are shutting down crowds.

 

I'm sure it will change within the next 24 hours

 

i just have no idea what could happen if they postpone it. i feel like it would have to be an outright cancelation. unless they just hijack Summerslam and put it in that slot? but it would be such a smaller scale than i think theyd be willing to accept. i literally cant imagine Vince allowing a year to go by without a Wrestlemania.

 

I wonder what would happen if they postponed it to May or June

 

i feel like that's too soon to be sure of in it's own right. events in May and June are currently being canceled such as E3. they could very realistically have to postpone a second time. it's really wild to think about. this is a company that will run a Raw after a beloved main eventer dies, finish a PPV after Owen Hart dies in the ring, and still do a Raw when the weather prevents fans from attending. i feel like accepting this is gonna shave like three years off Vince's life lol

 

like, if Mania DOES happen, theres no way they can still run Axxess. and Axxess was part of a lot of ticket costs.

 

There is only one storyline worth running beyond Mania. Dragging things out any longer would suck.

 

ROH isn't cancelling events. There won't be anyone there, so it doesn't really matter.

 

imagine if they just ran out a Mania match or two on each TV show for a month. like fucking Goldberg/Reigns on a Fox main event. turn the lack of Wrestlemania into their biggest ratings in years and make Fox happy.

i know none of this will happen but imaginations are fun

 

They could theoretically make weekly TV not suck by running the matches out on their 7 hours of weekly television programming.

Assuming they had big plans for the SD + RAW around WM, and the ~16 matches WM was predicted to have, thats still only 2 weeks of television. Could have every single match on TV, with probably better ratings than normal, and still be ready to hit the reset at the draft in mid-April

edit: I see we think alike. It'd be infinitely better than the main event I just watched on RAW...and no reason to rush any single match either, so a womens match that might have gotten 5 minutes like the womens tag match can get 15 minutes and be good

 

yeah i feel like if Mania can't happen this is the next biggest win for them

 

A+ Would watch a streamable clip of this online after the fact.

 

Plus, NXT TV gets two weeks of Takeover-level matches as well

And run it out of the performance center where all the wrestlers are the audience and it actually might be wildly entertaining. Cutting to Big E's reaction as Goldberg/Roman do a hoss match is better than random guy on his phone

I am in the last two weeks of my phd right now and barely exist outside of the office and this forum. This is basically where i mostly follow the corona conversations and it seems so weird to me that all these events are being cancelled. I mean I get it. But as i barely see any human being these days, i am sorta disconnected from the world rn.

 

Same honestly. I guess I’m just not one to give in to that type of panic, even if it is warranted.
