I think what Becky's been able to accomplish, despite wwe doing everything in its power to make sure this doesn't happen, is truly a testament to her skills. Best promo of the division, top 5 of the company.

I think her booking has been very vanilla. Lacey, rollins, natalya were super vanilla ideas. Asuka feud was excellent... sasha was forgettable because it abruptly ended cause of brand split..and well, despite drew not liking shayna, that's the right feud for mania.

I will agree that at some point this year shes one of those characters that actually needed the authority to get in her way. One of the things wwe forgot is that what made austin fresh was that he never kept the belt for long and always chased. She needed that too.

I blame a lot of the issues to the brand split and wwe being wwe.

 

I also find it bizarre that we complain when nxt people get booked like crap and yet shayna is made to look like a monster for 3 years...we don't want that either.

I love how strong they've built her up and cant wait to see how they book that match

 

DB and Gulak are gonna make an awesome tag team.

Also, someone is excited for AEW lol

 

Yeah when I was saying that The Man would get old, it wasn’t so much a knock on her as it was that creative wouldn’t know where to take it next. The fact that she’s still as over as is she is is definitely a testament to her skills as a performer. But I don’t know how much even she can keep it going with what they have for her.

 

At first I was thinking if he said it once I wonder how much of that is it just being in his head after seeing the phrase everywhere the past week. But nah he was definitely doing it on purpose lol

 

I was re-visiting the Cena US Open Challenge and god what a run that was. Bangers with Neville, Ambrose, Cesaro, Zayn, Owens, Cody.

 

That Cesaro match especially was insane. (The brass ring match, right?)

 

They had two that were fire because KO interrupted one I believe.

 

To come back to the "will WM36 be worse than WM32" thing...this actually is kind of relevant. WM36 will probably be better match wise (not a high bar to clear), but the future after it is bleak. WM32, they had debuted KO well, he was a big deal, and he was a big part of the mid-card for the 6 months that followed. AJ Styles got the springboard after WM32 and we eventually got AJ/Cena. Charlotte/Becky/Sasha were only just getting started. Ambrose eventually blew up...we even got a version of the Miz that people cared about again. All the stuff they screwed up in the WM32 build and at the show itself was washed away pretty quickly.

Aside from Drew, Im not sure I see anyone coming out of WM36 hot and carrying the company forward. At least last year we had Becky/Kofi/Seth to shake things up

Who cares at this point, if Drew wins they will inevitably put the title back on Brock anyways.

 

exactly. they built up Rollins for eternity before giving him wins over Brock and the crowd turned on him within months. i feel like we doomed ourselves there.

are you referring to Corbin? Reigns of all people managed to get a good reaction against Corbin for like four months so idk if we can really put it on Corbin. i think it was more the Becky angle and the absolute slaughtering of Burn It Down that did it haha

Also can’t forget that everyone got hurt right before mania 32 and they literally brought in Shane to be the savior of the card

 

Didn’t even realize I popped in here talking about dynamite during a wwe PPV. I’m so out of the loop with the main roster

 

i have a very short attention span for wrestling these days. i get through Dynamite in full, usually watch about 60 percent of NXT, and by that point even though that stuff is very good im just toast on wrestling. havent even watched Dark in weeks. i watched the first three or four matches last night and enjoyed them but around Black/Styles i started pressing the skip 10 button in lulls despite liking that match. it's a real issue of volume for me. especially when the main event is a completely foregone conclusion. as much as i hate that Reigns/Goldberg is a thing, at least they knew to cut to the chase because we all knew what was happening.

 

FCW doc was pretty good

 

Rollins simply isn’t a good baby face champion. He has no personality as a face. But that’s partly down to how he’s booked.

Half forgot, half didn't care about the PPV being on last night. After quickly scanning through the comments it looks like it was not a must watch show. Not surprised at all. Although I am psyched for Sami to finally get a main roster title!
