I can see them turning face if/when KOR comes in.

 

It feels like Bucks/Cole/Omega stay heel for a while...and every promotion ever books KO to turn on people...so I can see him debuting as a face and then at like DoN turning heel to join Mount Rushmore (with KOR/Fish as supplements a la the Good Brothers in the Elite).

 

Still can’t stop thinking about Hangman winning - best wrestling story of the past decade at least - everything was perfect

Danielson is in heaven haha, just wrestling every week. So great.

 

Kenny has been wrestling with vertigo and potentially a torn labrum which is wild. I hope he takes some time to rest and recover.

 

I had a small bout of vertigo like 2 years ago and I could barely take a fucking shower. Could not imagine doing what he does as well as he does it every night. Rest up, dude.

 

Maybe once a year I get some vertigo-like stuff that happens and it makes me puke before I can finish taking a shower. How the fuck someone wrestled with that is beyond me.

 

I’ve always been under the impression Kenny is an alien from a different universe

 

Kenny is the GOAT and he deserves as much time as he needs off. Whether or not he actually takes a break remains to be seen.

 

He has a AAA title match coming up, but I'm really hoping after that he takes a little break. AEW is in a strong position, and him recovering wouldn't be as noticeable. Pretty sure Tony said he's been the only one at every single show since the start of AEW.

 

All the more reason to have a mandated off-season for wrestlers.

 

Just watched MJF/Darby and I genuinely believe its AEW's best match to date. Unbelievable match

 

MJF was unbelievable in that match. I always forget how good he is in the ring since he mostly focuses on character work. I wouldn't say best to date, but safely top 5 and the best match either has been in.

 

It's a top 5 favorite for me.

 

MJF/Darby was definitely my favorite match of the night. Darby didn’t rely on high spots as much as usual and the mat work was fantastic. Nice to see MJF get a much needed victory after losing the lackluster feud with Jericho.

 

Ahhh so that's why he's so scared of Kris.

 

as much as i WANT hangman/omega to be my match of the night, mjf/allin EXCEEDED my expectations. as high as i had the main event, it did just meet expectations.

 

I talk about this a lot with my IRL rasslin buds -- sometimes, I "rate" (as much as any of us "rate" matches) matches higher because of the surprise factor.

Same with music or movies -- sometimes the lack of expectation and the strength of the delivery powers something you'd think would be good to begin with.

 

Was it someone in this thread a couple months back railing against Hangman for taking time away for the birth of his kid, or am I confusing that with someone in a Reddit thread?

This is a totally valid reason to rate something highly! Like, Sasha vs Bayley at Brooklyn is a universally agreed upon phenomenal match, but it’s in my top 5 matches of all time for a variety of factors outside of the match itself—the fact that I was there in person, the entire crowd atmosphere, that it was the first live show Cristen ever went to with me, and how in awe she was by the match in particular, etc etc etc.

Same reason why SuperBad is amongst my favorite comedies of all time. I saw it with a group of friends in a packed theater shortly before we all went away to college and it just hit us all in the right ways. I rewatch it to this day, and though I never laugh as hard as I did on that first viewing, it instantly transports me back to that moment, and thus gets extra points in my ratings
