I think they only announced 2 matches for Rampage. Could that leave room for a potential Rainmaker appearance? They name dropped him or CHAOS at least 4 times tonight.

 

On rampage? No way. On the PPV? Yes

 

On the PPV? No way. (he’s wrestling Buddy Murphy in San Jose the same day as Full Gear)

on the Dynamite they keep advertising as the “Full Gear Fallout show”? Yes

Yeah Dynamite could happen then for sure.

 

Several NXT Takeover cards probably rival this but yeah it's a pretty great card.

 

Easier when you only have 5 matches tho

 

Just catching up on Dynamite now. This show rocks. Danielson winning with the Tequila Sunrise is so funny to me. Get rid of ATT forever. Tay Conti and Britt are going to tear the place down on Saturday.

Pacing on NXT shows were always perfect though. AEW PPVs have had issues of going on too long in the past. I think this will be a really great show, but knowing this will probably go past midnight does not have me stoked lol

 

I think Miro and Eddie win Saturday, and it makes sense if they do. Punk and Danielson came to put guys over and Miro/Eddie are the perfect candidates for that right now.

 

I definitely see Miro winning...not sure Eddie is the guy that beats Punk...thinking that goes to one of the Pillars or perhaps even Hangman

 

There’s no reason for Eddie to win, you’re not building him up for anything and this feud was thrown together late(Tony’s notepad had Punk facing Wardlow). Meanwhile, Punk is still a draw and someone they’re protecting, which is why he wasn’t in the eliminator tournament.

Danielson/Miro is predicated entirely on what you do with Omega and Page. Think the plan had been for Moxley to win and challenge Page; if they’re sticking with the same dynamic it should be Miro. If they’re keeping it on Omega, it should be Bryan.

 

It'll probably help this show that it doesnt have a Battle Royale that has to go 20+...though I gotta imagine the Street Fight outstays its welcome by going 20+ somehow

 

I hope the street fight ends at target field next door

 

It's Thursday morning so...

Man, AEW Dynamite was good last night.

Seriously though, so hyped for Rampage on Friday, so hyped for Full Gear.

 

More than that, if you think Hangman wins (that has to be the payoff after this story right?!), Miro probably makes more sense for his next rivalry - if you want a clearer heel/face matchup.

 

Not sure you need to protect Punk as much as that - though that depends on what bigger story they want to tell with him or what his character evolves into. Though I do think it's easier to tell Eddie's story should he lose than Punk's.

 

I think Danielson wins. Not sure about Kingston/Punk. I can see Hangman/Danielson being an amazing Dynamite main event, but I guess it would make more sense for Omega to retain if that was the case

 

Eddie beating Punk would be a massive deal, I've mentioned this before but you really have to try to get away from the 'How to Book Pro Wrestling 101' book for this stuff. Undefeated streaks are overrated as fuck for booking and gimmicks. Black just lost to Cody, do you feel ANY different about Black?

Look at the promos they cut last week, Punk called Eddie a fucking bum! It was a total heel promo, what does Punk get from calling Eddie a bum and beating him? A shitty failed attempt at a heel turn? On the flip side, Eddie winning and Punk giving him the respect he has been due for a long time is FUCKING PERFECT.


C'mon y'all, Eddie winning makes so much sense.

I would be legitimately stunned if eddie beats punk. i fucking love eddie and would welcome that, but I don't think Eddie is who you give Punk's first L to.

 

I’m gonna go Miro and Punk. I don’t think both of Bryan and Punk will lose and Miro makes all the sense for Hangman’s first feud.


I’d like to see Eddie win but Khan has been pretty open about how the network views Punk and how they constantly want to have him at the forefront of the company.

 

Haha I feel like Eddie is the epitome of who he wants to give his first L to, I can't think of anyone else who could benefit more! Clearly this was a hand picked opponent by Punk, and I can not see him saying 'Okay Eddie I'm going to call you a bum and beat you clean on a huge PPV match.' Total burial of the guy.


I'll happily eat my words but the more I analyze it the more sure I am Eddie wins, may not be clean though, he may even win dirty and start HIS heel turn. That I could see being more likely than Punk just beating him and moving on. Zero gained out of that.

 

eddie losing is by far the easiest call of the show outside of britt. eddie even laid that grounded by saying he doesnt care if he wins just beats him up. punk will win with eddie leaving him beaten up good

 

I don't see there being a winner for Punk/Eddie. Prob can build to another match.
