Context: That's a set photo from Wakanda Forever that was posted to Instagram, and people are speculating that it's Becky, especially with the rumors from last year or so about her joining the MCU in some capacity.

 

I do think MJF plays with fire sometimes but for Jericho of all people to say this(work or not).........................

 

That's the thing - it's an idealistic idea to think you can generate the same level of excitement and investment in the product when you overhaul the entire roster with new, unestablished people. Integrating established indie performers like Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, Bobby Roode, Shinsuke, Adam Cole, Gargano, etc etc etc. ensures fans have excitement for the product before and after each debuts, and it's a lot easier to build stories around them. Expecting the same fan engagement in new performers, tag teams and stables that don't have individual or relationship history would be foolhardy on WWE's part, at least if they wanted to achieve the same vibe and fan investment they'd come to expect from NXT.

I just don't like them forcing everyone on us at the same time. The random pairing up with the ''veterans'' or whatever is off-putting too. Why would KOR hang out with Von Wagner?

I turned it off last night during the Kushida match. Like I thought they did nothing with Kushida when he first got there. Then he built up momentum. But now it’s this. Someone like him has no purpose even being there. Or Io. Or Kay Lee Ray. Etc

 

Theres also zero advertising for it. I watch a TON of USA, when they promote RAW, its very clear what story lines are ongoing...even if they don't interest me. NXT 2.0 just re-runs that stupid multi-color animation with "Down South" playing.

That report that they didnt even care about the wrestling seems to have hit its platonic ideal with how they promote NXT now

 

Obligatory weekly Bryan Danielson is the best pro wrestler in the world post.
