He apparently plans on it, but it waiting for the right situation. Seems like he wants to continue doing the trainer/wrestler work he was doing in NXT, which I assume really only leaves AEW and Impact as real options.

Seems like an easy decision for them though. He’s one of the best minds in wrestling and can still put on an occasional match that will always be entertaining. Having him as another Dustin in AEW would be awesome.

 

Regarding the question if aew doesnt have enough air time...shouldnt tony just buy impact at this point and make "AEW: Impact" the developmental territory?

 

I think more TV is inevitable, TK has done a tremendous job with Rampage so far, it has not slipped away to feeling like a show you can get away with missing. Tacking on another hour and making it a separate live show should be the next step, idk if that time slot stays the same.

Its not singles wins...in fact, his win over Sonny Kiss on the Jericho cruise is his first singles win in AEW.

Obviously in Japanese he can do more with his promos, but I really liked the baseball pitcher analogy he used when talking about how he's evolving as a wrestler as he gets older and how fans comparing him to his younger self doesn't phase him.
