Goddamnit AEW Dynamite ruled. I am sick and tired of coming in here and saying that every week.

Last night was so goddamn fun and I will be going to every live event I can

That sounds awesome given WWE stopped taking so many top indie guys.

 

i always forget what city dynamite is in because they don't open up the show every week with a babyface getting a cheap pop by saying the towns name

 

ROH is going to be the PWG of the east coast.

 

Instead you just have to wait for the 2nd or 3rd segment where MJF comes out and gets cheap heat by talking about how much the city sucks

 

Even for that I don’t think he said Boston through the whole segment? I only realised when the camera focused on a guy in a Celtics jersey after his shitty accent.

I’m just still conditioned to expect a wrestler to actually name this city during those segments.

 

Except I see GCW taking that role if anyone if they keep gaining traction.

 

I already view GCW as the number three promotion. I think their momentum will definitely continue in 2022 especially with the crop of talent that will be all over the place.

 

AEW rules.

 

Taking 3 months completely off...I don't think they ever actually come back.

What they had going for them is a TV deal and name recognition, and they're kind of burning both of those right now

 

Yep easily number three in the US at least. Touring all over which ROH hasn’t done in a few years and even when ROH did tour they didn’t draw at all after the Elite left. ROH has been stale for a long time.

I’m super excited to see more ROH guy do the indies. We have Prestige and DEFY in the NW that are going to have a lot of these guys from ROH.

 

G1 Supercard really says it all.

People went NUTS for anything NJPW related. Suzuki, Liger, and Muta in the Rumble! Kota and Naito destroyed each other's necks! Okada won the title!

Kenny King wins the Rumble. Rush beat Dalton Castle in 15 secs. Matt fucking Taven going over in a world champion match.

This show was half clusterfuck / half amazing. Its split right down the middle in a very clear cut way. ROH was just bland and stale. Nothing has changed.

 

The ROH stuff really sucks. I don’t see how they come back from this, but I hope they can pull it off. Just going back to being a super indie seems like the only realistic option, so I’m glad that’s the plan.

On the bright side, give me Gresham v Danielson right fucking now.

I’d rather see a lot of ROH in other companies or on the indies honestly. This is good news. I do feel bad for guys who are going to struggle such as Taven, Flip Gordon, Silas Young and a lot of the uninteresting mid card guys.

 

i mean I think we can still get a lot of ROH guys all over the place and still get Brody in the House of Black

 

I guess this is evidence that they really are gonna come back? I can't imagine why Sinclair would hold onto it otherwise unless both WWE and AEW aren't interested

 

I definitely want Brody, Gresham, Dragon Lee and Bandido in AEW.

 

danhausen could work too if booked right. Like don’t give him many in ring promos, instead just like bits where he gets a clip with a mic to do his wonderful weird thing. WWE would fuck it up (I fucking know it) but I feel like AEW (or impact) could give him the space needed to be Danhausen

like can you imagine how wonderful weird a Danhausen orange Cassidy feud and or alliance could be?
