    I hate the inner circle

I also hate that type of stip, 'If you lose you leave the inner circle.' Like what does that even mean? He can't hang out with them anymore?

I've come across two random interviews the past week where Mox said that he doesn't care how much he gets paid or how big the crowd is etc etc, he just loves the feeling of losing half his blood after a great match and smoking a cigarette and having a beer in the locker room haha. Fuckin love him more every day.

Cody has to lose here, or DQ finish.

I've heard they want to establish that picture in picture isn't just down time and anything can still happen.

Well, it's okay to be a thing if it isn't done across the board.

    That was a great match.

I think its still ultimately not a great thing to do. Its fine when you have A wins, B wins, now they are 1-1 and you have a rubber match. As long as you don't over do it, those matches can be a lot of fun. But then you end it after three before things get stale.

The one area where "A wins, A wins, A maybe wins a few more times... B finally wins" is good is when you have a scrappy young face vs veteran heel storyline where the babyface is looking to learn from their past mistakes to finally go over. This works cause you can still get invested in the losses, hoping they'll bounce back.

Now we're stuck with either Cody winning the feud or having it go even more matches, neither of which seem particularly great. The Cody/Black matches have been fine, but I'd rather see him wrestle other people.

Yeah, I mean, Cody lost the feud. He was down 2-0 and getting everyone around him murdered. Got outright squashed in the first match, lost the second match...shit's over at that point. Giving Cody a win here maybe creates a PPV match...but god help them if they give Cody the win there too and Jericho/MJF themselves again.

But if they're setting up an actual Cody heel turn at the PPV...then I get it

This by the way, was the correct answer for their second match...if the feud was continuing. A DQ from Cody for going too far...or a double count-out even. AEW does them rarely enough that it makes sense to save the bigger finish for the PPV.

And then they'd be 1-1-1, basically

That was my fav Cody match that I have seen in a long time, it keeps Cody going and gets rid of the undefeated gimmick for Black which is always hard to book right. Black is incredibly athletic though, he is truly the reason the match was so good.

Honestly it intrigued me to be down to see them go at it one more time on a PPV, maybe with a no DQ gimmick or something.

I'm also super self-aware of when i'm predicting what 'the perfect booking would be'. They shouldn't just be following the 'good booking 101' belief system. Change it up, do different shit, let Cody win when he shouldn't. Whatever.

but what does losing to a heel cody at Full Gear do for Black? Heel turns are great way to build sympathetic babyfaces. Black is not a sympathetic character. Feel like it would just make him look weak.

Rather have him not be someone who is driven by revenge and so just moves on from Cody. I'm really curious what they are gonna do with him and Andrade. I just wanna see where that goes and not have Cody weighing it down.
