  1. I bet it'll end in a very stupid way

Xavier losing can lead to a really interesting character arc for both guys, imo. I'd be so down for a more serious Woods who had a fire lit under his ass after losing KotR and wants to make a singles run with a fully supportive Kofi by his side.

Why would I care if WWE is doing 'healthy numbers' if they treat their talent like total shit. They go out of the way to make sure they absolutely CANNOT make any extra money. You know all the complaints. WWE doing healthy numbers is good for the investors, fuck the investors.

The point is that WWE's numbers shouldn't really matter.

Acting like getting 600k viewers, when it weeks past you got over a million at the same time slot, is a "win" to me is incredibly silly -- i don't get why you'd want to celebrate "winning" simply because the other guy also did poorly

To be fair, nobody in AEW expected them to keep the huge numbers they did with Punk’s debut and 600K on Friday night at 10 is pretty good.

It is silly, it's twitter! I don't think any of us geeks here consider that anything but a little disappointing maybe. The 18-49 demo stuff is pretty great though.

WWE initiated it by deciding to go long with Smackdown for the purpose of trying to tank the hour of Rampage, so the fact they took a swing and it blew up in their faces seems worth dumping on them about.

There's plenty you're not accounting for with regard to the past rampage numbers. For one, the past shows weren't running head-to-head with smackdown(and the mlb playoffs in most cases). Second, the show wasn't as hyped and the card wasn't on par with the other episodes of rampage. Third, there was no wednesday dynamite as a lead-in to the show this week.

alright if you wanna celebrate a show doing sub 600k viewers simply because another show did poorly as well you're free to do so

I just don't see both shows getting those kinds of ratings as good for wrestling as a whole. Especially if Rampage struggles to maintain ratings like that without a live show or the hype that was built around the H2H nature of the episode.

If can do similar number next week, continue to stay north of 500k great. Numbers it did last week aren't enough to convince me it can.

They just announced Danhausen. This show is going to rule. They are doing Vegas/LA dates too and the names announced on those shows are fun. JTG, PCO, Davey Richards. Hope to see some of those at the Portland show. Cool to see lots of indies touring out of their traditional areas. DEFY just did LA and the card looked amazing.

yeah I saw. such a great lineup. Hopefully Danhausen and Effy do some seattle shows around that time as well (though WAC shows are generally Sundays as well and neither of them really seem like DEFY types so who knows =/)

Rampage, a second 1 hour long B show is doing the numbers that were expected of Dynamite when it launched, but at 10pm on a Friday night. The funny thing about last week was how bullish WWE was in going with the extra half hour, going without ads, Roman speaking about how they were going to beat Rampage, and then failing. There isn't much more to it than that. WWE tried to publicly bumrush a B show and failed, that's fucking hilarious.

Had a real "superhero training to become Batman" style feel with them beating him up in the ring.

But my god does he need to move on from Malakai; after Black looked like an incredible bad ass to start off Dynamite
