For the last few years, WWE’s womens division was by far the most interesting and entertaining aspect across every brand. Now I’m right there with y’all that can’t even bother with WWE now. Every once in a while I’ll catch bits and pieces but that’s about it. I’ll leave NXT on in the background while doomscrolling on my phone.

 

I think what is more and more apparent is that the four horsewomen became stars despite wwe not because of it, they rose above the crap that wwe was churning out.

 

the stars of wwe are almost all stars in spite of, not because of, the company.

 

So you think they are gonna do Finn/Woods at KOTR finals?

Heels almost always win KOTR. Is Jinder winning KOTR the boringest, least exciting booking option available? Sure. Does being KOTR already fit Jinder's whole Modern Day Maharaja thing? And is it totally inline with the direction WWE usually heads? And does WWE generally try to keep its matches to heel vs face? Also all true.

The idea of a Kofi/Woods semi-final was out the door as soon as they announced the bracket and that the finals would be in Saudi Arabia (so you can't even run Woods going over Sami to win in a bit of a chance of pace).

Honest question: Is the last crossover star that Vince & co. full-stop created The Undertaker? I guess you could say Cena, though not sure whose brainchild that character was when he shifted from rap-guy to motivational Never Give Up dude

 

I was wearing my AEW hoodie at a brewery in Vermont over the weekend and someone behind me says “nice jacket”. I turn around and it’s a guy in sunglasses, jean jacket and jeans, and a shirt of himself like the one orange cassidy wears. He gives me the little thumbs up and walks away. I need an explanation and I’ll never get one

Honestly, once you typed it out...no, I dont think Woods advances. But its also still a mistake. The whole bracket is kind of weird, really.

Though I actually could see them giving Balor the win as the payoff for doing the job for Roman.

 

I hope he goes by King Finn Balor The Prince Demon so that commentary has to mention that verbatim every single time they reference him

 

Yeah I think the entire booking and structure of the tournament was the mistake. Kofi/Woods could've worked wonders in the right tournament. But given the corner they booked themselves into, it wasn't the right call.

Is being King of the Ring even a good payoff? Seems like a good way for someone to get stuck in the midcard for the next year.

 

member that episode where they decided to start calling him "The Demon King" and had people running around looking for "The Demon King" except that it sounded like they kept saying "The Demon Kane"?

 

Kinda feels like that is where he is headed anyway; filling the KO type role of "guy who eats the pin to boost the #1 contender". Obviously the draft and order doesnt mean much, but he was Round 8, same time as Ricochet and the Street Profits/Viking Raiders.

With Big E looking like he's gonna be champ at least through SS, and probably til the Rumble, with Lashley + Rollins as the seemingly most likely guys to face.

 

Theres a small part of me that is sad we never got The Demon Pumpkin; could have killed the mystique of that character right there and spared Finn that top rope break/fish flop sequence.

 

You got me excited that mine would come in soon. Still have to wait til Friday :(
