Yeah the streaming service seems a bit rushed. I guess if it included at least 2-3 shows per month at least a $10 price point would save fans money since the shows are usually $15 a piece on FITE. I don’t know how this work help them make money though. I would figure they make more money selling the shows individually or in bundles via FITE.

 

There is not a single interesting thing going on in WWE right now.

 

I was watching cm punk on complex and he brought up something interesting, wrestlers don’t have signature shoes or sponsorships in wwe. I wonder if tony would ever let them do that.

 

I'm really curious how many PPV buys GCW gets. Like, there's never really been a show (except for the old JJSB shows) that I ever felt interested enough in buying/sitting through the entire thing of

Just thinking about it, not sure what Martha would think but a special edition Owen vans high top sneakers where the proceeds went to his foundation would be pretty cool.

 

Ember Moon needs to go to AEW or somewhere else. Not even her biggest fan but she’s someone who will probably never reach those highs of her NXT title reign ever again in WWE

 

Also, for how little actual mic time Kris Statlander gets versus how over her character is, that would also be hugely beneficial for Ember there. Cause she's kind of on the Bayley level of "great character, great work, only passable on the mic"

 

If they only take a percentage of the FITE sales and instead take 100% of this, that alone might mean they make more even technically charging less. WWE only ever got like 50% of a PPV buy; having a million people on the network was way more reliable revenue than a PPV buy that could fluctuate +/-100k. Plus you have all of your fans following along.

I gotta imagine the benefit for a promotion like GCW is even higher; almost like a Patreon-level thing, guaranteeing X income each month versus relying on PPV sales where a dip might screw up your next plans.

 

I realize the payout logistics of it probably make it impossible, but I really wish some company could get all the major indies together on one streaming platform. Would happily pay somewhere in the $20-30 range if the collection of companies was good enough. Maybe more if they somehow convinced PWG to stream.

 

Yeah DEFY has their own streaming service and are charging like $16 a month for it. Personally I struggle to see why anyone but the most hardcore fan would pay that much for it. But if they feel that is the right price for their streaming catalog, I doubt you could get all the major indies on one platform for even $30 a month.
