Also when has AEW ran a heel vs heel match?

 

For one, its a heel/heel match, so its something you'd need time to figure out getting to.

It felt a little weird to just pull the trigger now when Miro's been on fire, but, its also good to have Miro possibly settle into a more standard feud heading into the PPV

 

i mean AEW's pretty much whole thing is focusing on how wins and loses and titles matter. because they should matter. its very silly to expect anyone would not want a title

but they are both well liked heels who can go in the ring. so you'd still get a hot crowd for the match which is really all that matters. Heel/face dynamic is really just there to get people to care about the match. If they already care about the match for other reasons you don't need it.

also seems quite possible Miro gets lost in the shuffle after this, similar to Andrade. He doesn't really have any allies that he can partner up with and get air time that way. So who do you actually have him feud with... Punk?

 

Do I want to see a Black vs. Miro feud? Hell yes. But it never even occurred to me that was in the near future so it’s not mine they were building to it and bailed.
