The entire final hour+ of that PPV ended with a roll-up, a DQ finish, and apparently God intervening?

 

I only caught bits and pieces...it sounds like actual match quality this was a decent PPV. But it still involved a doll being ripped up causing a woman to foam at the mouth and two absolutely silly endings in the name of "protecting" people that would have been better off just losing in defiant fashion. Its just incoherent storytelling stuff.

like oh wow. you have this quirky creative thing to turn the demon into an S+ tier fighter, protect roman, have the crowd lose their shit at an unexpected title change. Brock/Roman doesn't actually *need* the title. but then you immediately throw it all away?

feel bad for all the WWE wrestlers who still gotta put up with this shit booking

 

And it can actually make Brock v Roman into a #1 Contenders match at the Saudi show...and creates a really interesting dynamic in Finn's character where he can only conjur the Demon in truly dire moments. Like the Undertaker's sit up but even cooler.

I might have tuned in on Friday if they actually went through with it. Now its obvious Roman isnt losing until he faces the Rock.

 

Don't even make Brock vs Roman a #1 contenders match. Keep the "can only conjur the Demon in truly dire moments" cause that works well. Have Roman, because he's Roman, demand a rematch on Friday. Rematch isn't vs the Demon. Sell it as Demon > Roman > Finn. So Roman wins the title back vs Finn and can go off to Saudi and fight Brock.

But now you've got a bunch of future stuff to setup. Demon vs Brock is an obvious one. But also you could do Demon vs Roman, Demon wins again, but now you get another rematch and its "Has Finn improved enough so can win without the Demon crutch"

Instead lol WWE everyone looking forward to Miro vs Sammy and Adam Cole vs Jungle Boy next week?

That match ending was absolutely embarrassing to watch. Did Heyman hold the title upside down on accident? Haha or is that a thing now…

 

wwe continues to be an incoherent snoozfest. I know i know Roman is great now etc., but the whole damn company still sucks and puts out lackluster product after lackluster product.

 

I haven’t watched a thing with Roman, but Jesus it’s wrestling, the best thing about a heel is hoping someone can beat them. Hell, the best thing about Miro’s TNT run was that 90 seconds where I thought against my better judgement that Fuego could beat him and that directly led into a PPV match where Eddie had a shot.

At this stage Roman has gone through everyone, right? All for Brock to beat him? I’m not saying anything new or interesting here but how are they going to make new stars if they don’t let them win. It’s just frustrating, even as someone who doesn’t watch the shows.

 

I dont watch wwe anymore, but will Brock rly beat Roman?

I just watched it and it’s genuinely one of the funniest things I’ve seen. Like fucking hell who thought that whole last 3 minutes was a good idea. The lights coming back on was amazing comedic timing though, fair fucks to them for that

One thing I really liked about the Kenny/Bryan match was it wasn’t for the title and was never really set up in a way that Bryan was going for the title. He didn’t really care, he just wanted to fight the best wrestler in AEW. I think WWE needs to do that more, The Fiend never should should have been booked for the title, just have him be spooky and shit and beating people because that’s his character. You can do similar with Brock, but to me as an outsider it seems like WWE think if it’s not for the title it’s not worth running.
