rampage taping was very brisk thankfully, largely bc there wasn’t any dead air for commercials

crowd arguably never recovered from how awesome the first match was but still rallied for the big matches

i'm not so sure about that. aew ppv's are roughly 4 hours.
if the card is good and consistent, then the crowd should handle it.
and it you save about 20-30 minutes on what would have been commercials for a live rampage, then even better.

 

Yeah this was how I felt as well.

I get why they put it on first but I really think I would have enjoyed the show even more if I had the big match to look forward to while watching all the others.

Cody is definitely one of those guys that thinks Homelander is cool or some kind of antihero.

amazing show last night. omega/bryan was incredible and exactly why i ever fell in love with wrestling. cody is so laughably bad tho and needs to fuck off forever. lookin like a damn clown in that getup last night.

 

This was a nice touch with Kenny playing the traditional “cowardly” heel role the last year that he still gets to be a badass and the best bout machine sometimes.

 

Sheesh, it seems like aew is getting closer every week

Obviously wwe is going up against football but it’s still wild to see aew catch up so quickly

 

Tonight is the kanyon episode of dsotr, it’s inevitably going to be a tearjerker. I loved kanyon when I was growing up, thought he was one of the best wrestlers I had ever seen and for some reason, he just never got the promotion he deserved.

 

It's gonna be interesting to see what AEW's real growth potential is. They can certainly grow that number, but I don't think they can grow that number by doing anything other than organically continuing to produce a product people want to tune into. Its not like there are bigger names than Punk and Bryan that they could sign in get people to watch that way.
