Her finisher stinks though. Ruby & the crowd were both totally gassed by the end of that match. And it moved it below the Darby/Sting/FTR tag for me, which was shockingly good. FTR is one of the best teams in the business right now

 

Oh, for sure, but it feels like an important caveat that NXT isnt really a part of WWE. Like, the list, even if you count 4.75* matches from the past and (very reasonably) call Meltzer a little petty towards WWE vs AEW/NJPW, its not a great WWE list. There's more members of Death Triangle with 5* matches than the entire WWE roster since like, 1997.

 

The starting point was WWE booking sucks fucking ass regardless of talent

 

An unbelievable show to be at. Danielson/Omega lived up to the hype. I left after the second match of Rampage but make sure to watch The Bucks/Cole vs Christian and the Jurassic Express. It was the second best match of the night

 

Yeah, it's basically a great false-finish move, but not a great proper finisher. Or it could function like Rusev's crush stomp and she transitions to a submission. One of those moves thats way too easy to rush into, basically.

 

I genuinely dont remember the Brock/Joe/Roman/Braun match...but I bet you I can book it from memory.

They started off pairing off and brawling. Brock suplexed a bunch of people and gained control...yet someone false finished him. After that, he was gassed, sothey teamed up to put him through the announce table or something similar. Some cool shit followed and out of camera right, Brock returned to hit a big false finish. They traded finisher spam for a few minutes, Brock got the last one, and won.

edit: Ah, I see why it was 4.75* instead of like 4.25*....they did the classic WWE medical move on Lesnar to "escort him backstage"

 

sure but what they’ve scored doesn’t speak to wha they could score. They have plenty of guys who if they were in the exact same spot of Bryan and Kenny would have blown the roof off too was really the whole point of the argument.

Really the reason I drew such a hard line was because, yes, they have a crazy talented roster and the fact that they don’t have matches like that is an indictment on the real problem, booking.

omega/danielson match live was so intense and hypnotic it felt like time itself was slowing down

That was a good fucking episode. I thought the booking was perfect.

 

thought the false finishes hurt the britt/ruby match too. feel like you should stay away from them on tv main events where everyone knows the time and when things are gonna wrap up.

 

I didn’t really love the match, it just felt like the crowd was tired and they knew britt was going to win like always anyway. It was just kind of a flat finish to a really good show. If thunder rosa isn’t the one to take the title off of britt than idk what they’re going to do.

 

I think it happens at Full Gear. I didn’t want Ruby to win tbh. Good debut, great promo and good match but it’s too early for her to come in and take the belt straight off Britt. A Rosa/Ruby feud after Full Gear would be awesome though.

 

Remember though, this was the middle of the show for the audience, not the main event.

 

what was the layout for last night? Dark - Dynamite - Rampage? I'd worry the Rampage crowd would be a little dead if that's the case.

 

Idk if I would be able to handle waiting another hour for the moxley match after all that lol

 

I thought the Britt/ruby match was solid. It wasn’t a 5 star banger but good enough. I thought maybe you could do something like bad interference that costs Britt the title and continue the feud further, but Britt winning is the easier call. Honestly, give me Britt/Rosa/ruby at full gear or something.

 

Miro is very good at fifa lol

 

Yeah that was it, id deff worry too. They deff came alive for the main event and prob for punk but besides that who knows.

 

Oh damn I totally forgot Rampage was 2 hours as well. Yeah some of those matches are just going to be dead.

I get why they don’t do it but it would’ve been cool if they just did another event the next day in a smaller venue or something

 

There was very little downtime during Dynamite too. Great for TV but damn that’s exhausting
