I don’t think so? Mark has been better at the backstage interviews and not so great at commentating so it may have just been a move for a better fit

 

mark wasn't offering much on commentary, which is what happens when you already have three other commentators. definitely better doing interviews and backstage stuff.

and this is a fine way to give ricky more airtime with the roster getting crowded.

 

I want ricky starks to get all the air time possible. He's such a spirit halloween version of the rock and i love it.

 

Hopefully Mark still does those pre main event interviews. I really like those

it's that and I also think the Brodie Lee tribute show proved to a lot of people in the industry that AEW actually cares about its wrestlers and put them over profits every time. That show definitely helped Punk and Danielson make the decision to be All Elite and I'm sure it helped with Dr. Hart's decision to have Owen's wrestling legacy involved

 

ah and there's also a soon to be free agent WWE superstar who named his son after Owen Hart .......

 

like imagine a newly signed Kevin Steen winning the inaugural Owen Hart Cup

ya know, my post about Braun was definitely a joke... but...

Vince really did build a compelling character in Braun. He is a larger-than-life freight train that can flip an ambulance. I doubt anyone will be forgetting some of the legit fun shit he did during his run. Obviously, he was run into the ground and over-exposed, but for a while, it worked. The guy moved shirts. Vince going all in on Omos makes little sense, given what he had.

 

I fuckin hated Braun from day 1 until they started playing the train horn, train horn was easily my fav gimmick of 2020, but I hate him again.

 

Braun was fun for a while. Breaking shit. The stuff with Alexa. I didn’t mind him

 

This Owen Hart thing is kinda a bigger deal than some of these talent signings in my opinion. WWE have tried forever to “honor” Owen. Whether they’d do a good job or not is of course unlikely. But Owen had no ties to AEW. So this is just a big fuck you to Vince. And sure to grab a lot of headlines.

Honestly, give me Keith Lee as the fill-in for literally every plan they have for Brian Cage in AEW. Dont need him to be a megastar, dont need him to even win that often...just replaced the roided out dope with a guy who's a lot more fun to watch
