Vince helped cover up a murder (allegedly) and he's still fine. Nothing will happen to any of these guys besides maybe Ric doesn't get work anymore for a big company

 

vince wasn't on the flight covered. it seems like there were a ton of these kinds of flights and those on the episodes were getting their stories mixed up, which is 10x worse

Yeah, that was my takeaway from Coach's tweets...both that this was such a common occurrence that people could blur several plane rides from hell into one, which is fucked. But also that there was no way Vince didnt know this stuff happened (he had to settle the damn case...), and did nothing to keep them from happening. And was in fact, involved in one of them shooting on Kurt angle the year before this one

I do hope there is a second #SpeakingOut reckoning for these older guys with all the shoot interviews there are and guys like a Dreamer and a Ric just get booted.

 

A lot of the shit on reddit today is pretty fucked up.

 

Hopefully the Kanyon episode follows up with more shit on Taker, because he's the nexus of quite a bit of this stuff

 

I assume the answer was no but not sure but were the flight attendants WWE staff? I’m never sure how that works. People can own planes but are the pilots and flight attendants and such also staff or what? Reason I ask is, they would go overseas a lot / fly everywhere of course so if it was a usual flight staff that were on these flights that’s gotta be awful to imagine that this could happen every time vs being a contractor and maybe you only work on WWE flights once a year or something (as an example). I’m sure flight crews and such all talk and word gets around so sadly I imagine most staff knew or had heard some types of horror stories about the company on flights. Cant imagine what that had to be like time and time again. Even if one flight goes well it doesn’t guarantee the next one will and that’s so sad.

 

Maybe I've watched way too many shoot interviews but a lot of this stuff that's been coming out isn't exactly super new information.

I'm very glad it's coming out though at least on a larger public scale. A large majority of people who are regarded as all time greats are gigantic pieces of fucking garbage.

Shawn/Marty dropping roofies in girls drinks.
Steiner Bros doing god awful shit.
Taker being an absolute fucking twat to numerous people.
Flair being a creep, a racist, etc etc etc.
Brock being a fucking weirdo.

It's truly never-ending.

 

Jonathan Coachman had a series of really useful tweets on the flight (he was sober, knowing if he got drunk shit might happen to him...), but this one basically answers that. Its a private company that ran the charters, so much like United or Southwest have their crews, so would Sports Jet. They're using the same plane that the Seahawks or Cardinals would take to their games.

Probably also why it got settled so fast. Company wanted to keep WWE's business and the flight attendants wanted to keep their jobs (and never work with WWE again)

 

I'm someone who watched wrestling from like 1998-2002, and then again from 2015-now...and I was a teenager who wasn't following wrestling news in that first period...I had literally never heard the Shawn/Marty stuff. Hell, I hadnt heard most of the Taker stuff until people got sick of him constantly returning to do matches around the first Saudi show.

 

Its weird how much respect i gained for Coach over the years.

 

It was funny to see him do those tweets when like 3 days before he was lighting up Vince for not paying him for XFL stuff.

That is awesome. Every week some sort of cool/good news comes about for AEW and it warms my heart. They are carving their own path in the industry and it’s amazing to see a company differentiate itself from WWE in so many ways instead of trying to be WWE lite.

 

I can never tell if Meltzer is actually a fucking hilarious person, or just so oblivious to the internet that it's hilarious.
