I’ve been waiting to binge the season with my GF, but had to watch after hearing everything. Tommy Dreamer is an absolute moron and I hope Impact releases him. He doesn’t belong in this business. I also hope AEW thinks twice before doing business with Flair.

 

I can't for the life of me understand how Bubba gets a pass from all of the shit he has done and said.

 

All of the ECW clowns typically get a pass for god only knows why

 

years of destroying their own brains for heyman. not defending him at all but dreamer and most of them probably have a laundry list of concussions

 

Well, also all of them basically built a legacy of being boundary pushers, saying offensive shit, etc. So that also acts as insulation in the "what did you expect from The Innovator of Violence" realm. Same thing that got Joey Styles fired, etc, they keep living the gimmick.

Also, nobody really card about IMPACT or ROH or the indies they worked because nobody was seeing them...and nobody was questioning WWE (nor would WWE care). Now with AEW having a platform and working with so many companies, there's actually some consequence to having been shitty.

It'll also be a very sad moment if Ric ends up in AEW after this. But Id probably put the odds at higher than 50%...cause the industry itself is still just toxic.

 

I haven’t watched the episode yet, but I’m amazed by the response. Feel like I’ve been hearing about how bad this episode was going to be for everyone involved and somehow it still feels so much worse then anyone thought.

 

The comparison of a allegation of sexual assault to complaints about Tommy Dreamer's ponytail is so bizarre that it feels like Dreamer read that his ponytail sucks and he thought that was going to be his moment to own them.

 

I’d be stunned if ric flair doesn’t end up in aew. They push Darby allin, Sammy Guevara got a light suspension for the heinous shit he said and they actively built their brand around Chris Jericho being Walmart Joe Rogan outside of the ring with his podcast. Flair would be welcomed, i would bet.

that WAS a different time then. back in 2001, but also back in 2008. 'ric being ric' has always been a thing. here's what i mean: 2008 was flair's hall of fame induction. triple h gave an opening speech in which he saw ric in the bar wearing only his robe in the early 2000's, and then again around 2008. OBSERVE the reactions: fans were laughing and cheering that behavior, not taking into consideration any talent or bystanders that didn't want to be there. blame ric, blame tommy, blame the talent that thought it was cool, and blame wrestling fans for accepting that as suitable behavior in 2001, 2008, and 20..19? before the me too and speaking up movement started holding people accountable for their past transgressions.

Ric sucks. Hogan sucks. Dreamer's brain is mush, but even with that, he sucks.

Pretty much everyone involved in the Plane Ride from Hell story? Sucks.

 

I absolutely see Flair being in AEW, as disappointing as that will be. I think without this airing, he would be showing up at Grand Slam next week.


I give it about 6 months before he shows up in AEW. The only one they’ve really come down hard on is Jimmy Havoc. Other than that it’s been suspensions (Guevara, Darby was out for a few weeks after the allegations were first made) or quietly dropping off TV for a few weeks. (Excalibur, but that was his choice)

 

None of this is a shocking revelation for Flair either.


It’s just been made more public now. they’ll still bring him in eventually.

 

Coachman has quite a few tweets on this. My guess is there were a few flights and people getting their stories mixed up due to the variety of factors from alcohol to just time.
