My buddy is having a DoN watch party, so worst case, people throw in a couple bucks or some beer.

 

I haven’t been watching much lately because it’s infuriating but I just looked at the MITB card and it looks fun. Has it been built up well?

 

No.

 

About what I expected haha

 

Both MITB matches have been poorly built...and Roman/Elias and Miz/Shane are class "versus the authority" builds.

Basically Becky's matches, Seth/AJ, and KO/Kofi are the only ones with somewhat logical builds. But I can also see 3 of those 4 matches not having definitive endings to allow their feuds to continue...so.

 

I'm going anyway because ladder matches are fun and it could be cool.

 

I went to the one Ambrose won and it was amazing. I was watching Lebron beat GS in game 7 on my phone at the same time haha

 

maybe AEW strategy is to put on such a great show that the next one will have people falling over each other to pay 50 bucks

 

Wait, how is Reigns/Elias related to the authority?

The men’s MITB match has a few guys that will definitely put on a show but not get rewarded haha I fully expect Baron Corbin to win for no reason. As I said, I haven’t been watching but I’m rooting for a Finn win/turn of some sort.

 

Elias has been buddy buddy with Shane who's mad Roman punched vince? I think I followed that correctly.

 

Vince announced Elias as the big SD signing, then Roman appeared and superman punched Vince. Everything since then has been classic authority stuff...just make Shane->Vince, Elias->Randy/Seth, and I guess D-Bry+Rowan->J&J Security.

The Shane/Miz and Elias/Roman builds have basically been the same thing story, and filled with tag matches

 

Bryan and Rowan are a thing again? Sheesh

 

I wonder if Bray shows up on Sunday

 

Yeah...everything since WM has been nonsense mostly. On paper, this MITB should be as good as the 2016, even right down to them probably telegraphing Becky getting cashed in on like Dean did to Seth then.

 

I don't get people care about ppv prices when we have taima ultimately

 

All In was a largely independent venture that needed to recoup the costs usually put forth by a major media company. i think with all the Khan money and the "different than WWE" rhetoric (that to be fair they have largely backed up) people expected a less prehistoric model for their bread and butter shows as an actual promotion

 

idk the deets though. did Sinclair or NJPW lend any crew or equipment? with all of the uncharacteristic production issues im inclined to think not

 

I'd be surprised if AEW sticks with the traditional PPV model for long, but while they are, I'd expect them to be priced around the same. Warner and AEW will realize exactly what WWE did and that there's a lot more money to be made getting people to sign up for $10/month for B/R Live than trying to sell $50 PPVs.

 

my understanding is the B/R stream is not included with the $10 B/R membership and is an additional $50 purchase but im not 100%

 

Yeah, I saw the same. I'm saying I'm assuming they'll eventually just move to a model where it's included with the main cost of B/R Live to drive sign-ups.
