After last night's reactions Vince probably wants Keith Lee, Adam Cole, and Rhea Ripley on Raw/Smackdown asap

 

i would be cool with it if he dropped it by Rumble. a transitional run with 2 or 3 defenses. main reason being the crowd would turn on the whole shtick pretty fast, especially with the promo work that would come out of it. WWE would drill the family bond into our head rad nausauem by the third episode of Raw

That’s kinda just the pitfalls of that type of match though. Somebody had to be those guys. I guess they could have used someone else?

 

hasn't Walter yet to commit to moving to the states ever? i remember reports on that. he's probably fucked when it comes to the big three shows until that changes - little reason to invest from a company standpoint if you're not gonna be able to pay it off on the three shows you're featuring in the match

 

It was a bad terrible PPV with maybe 4 cool moments - the booking was illogical

one thing I appreciate about NXT and AEW is it’s not afraid to have its top stars lose cleanly - WWE is so afraid of their top stars losing cleanly that they book the dumbest shit for Sasha Charlotte and Becky and that honestly hurts them more than a clean loss

Main roster WWE is terrible and I hope KO shows up on NXT this Wednesday

 

But where was the good wrestling? NXT match of course and the Fiend and Bryan match but other than that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

Sure that’s fair but what did this PPV set up that makes me want to tune in on Monday or Friday?

 

- CW title triple threat ruled
- Undisputed/Raiders/New Day
- Styles/Nak/Strong
- Fiend/Bryan
- Dunne/Cole

and i really enjoyed the mens elimination match. even without that, 5 good matches makes a show worthwhile in my book.

nothing, but that's looking at how it affects a weekly viewer. which i am not, and you have stated in the past you are not either. i dont pay for USA or Fox. i pay for the Network. if that stuff's good, im good. not wasting my energy worrying about the effect a good show has on 4 weeks of shows i was likely never gonna watch anyways. that's the company's job.

 

Yeah that's totally a fair point. I guess I'd rather just not have one of the bigger guys (size wise at the very least) from the brand get wiped out quite so easily.

 

Another junk PPV with a boring ending. Why have that match main event if there's not going to be anything exciting that happens? And it wasn't a good match either.

 

They need to shitcan Survivor Series as a PPV and just do as part of the weekly shows if at all.

 

My guess with the ending to the show is that it's setting up for a long term story. Rhea takes the belt off of Shayna at the Takeover before the Rumble. Shayna debuts at the Rumble and possibly wins it? Either way, she and Becky have a match at Mania because Shayna got the win last night but never pinned/submitted Becky, and Becky was left standing tall at the end.

 

would it have been "exciting" if Becky or Bayley won? do you really wanna go back to when every main event ended in a dumb nonfinish or some overbooked angle? i agree that the match sucked but it had a definitive finish which i will take over some dumb shit every time

 

I'm surprised how much I actually enjoyed Survivor Series.

 

A surprise return/debut/turn would have been great. The match still could have ended cleanly.

Someone from one of the brands could have come out and turned... It was just a bore and worst of all, Shayna didn't even look strong in the end.... dumb

I know she took the final beating after the match, but she still defeated the Raw and SD Women's champs. Clean. I'd say that's a pretty strong way to book someone.

 

Yeah, the women's threeway was kinda boring, but Riddle fucking pinned Orton and that made the entire show for me.

 

There was zero chemistry between those 3.

There is nothing there.

 

I’m not a weekly viewer of main roster WWE because they given zero reason to be and the product suffers for it - I want to care about point A to point B because of point C like NXT and AEW do - without the story or motivations or stakes good wrestling isn’t enough for me when AEW and NXT give me both good stories and great wrestling

 

between AEW and NXT i get 5 hours of wrestling a week- at a minimum. im satisfied, if not regularly overwhelmed, with that as it is. Raw and Smackdown would have to be something they will never be for me to tune in with any regularity

 

Only thing that could get me to tune into the weekly WWE shows is if Kevin Owens is doing something big. Which sadly rarely happens now.

 

his face work this weekend was so fucking believable, who would've known fleshed out motivations could make a story compelling lol
