WWE has some of the dumbest "unwritten rules of the locker room" of any organization ever. MLB pales in comparison.

Nah nothing competes with MLB. Sometimes I’m surprised they still play the games.

Yeah the the water/carrying bags things is dumb. Just seems like the older guys are the ones complaining about him. Although Reby Hardy had some not so nice things to say about him.

He comes off like an ass but i'd be saying the same shit if someone was telling me to carry their shit for them or to be waiting around with water for them.

it sounded more like it was 300k for the five years total, so like 60k a year

Yeah at 60K a year when you have to front all of your travel expenses while on the road 85% percent of the time, I’m sure he’s almost paying to work.

So I've been doing some research on the Jock Tax that we were discussing this past week. Technically speaking, if WWE performers perform in any of the fifty states, minus Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Texas, Washington and Wyoming, they would be subject to the Jock Tax and have to pay state tax to those remaining states.

It's referred to as the Jock Tax because it's a wildly difficult law to enforce. There's really no great way for Iowa to know that my Massachusetts based company was paying me for work I did while I was there for a week. SO, typically, the only people who get targeted with this tax are professional athletes because their pay is public and so is their work schedule. It's much easier for Illinois to say "Lebron, we know you played the bulls and you make x dollars per game, so give us y in tax please and thank you."

Holy fuck if it's 60k a year. That is simply not feasible and yeah the paying your dues is bullshit. Get that outta here.

there's no way its 60k a year, after taxes and travel and incidentals that would be less than full time at minimum wage

60k is what the NXT guys make

But they also get travel/food stipends covered by WWE. So it is a bit more to live off of.

I don't recall Rush having a reputation like this when he was working the indepentent scene unless I wasn't paying enough attention

Even if it's 300k/year that leaves him:

$182,628.68 in take-home to pay for food/travel/health insurance/living expenses etc...

Sure 182k is nice but is it nice enough to hurt your future in the industry at large by not being featured while being on the road 200+ days a year?

They wanted to send him back to NXT. There's zero chance it was 300k a year for an NXT talent, especially one that they strongly dislike.

Hm so idk how reputable this site is, but it has some depth and weight because it has the numbers we are talking about, it claims he makes up to 100k since moving to the Raw roster, which still, given all expenses is absolute horseshit and I don't blame him for speaking out about it.

They would have upped his pay when he moved to the main roster as they do with everyone. 60k a year is lower than lower card NXT guys make. They definitely did not offer him that.
