NXT knocked it out the park again. Genuinely love being excited about watching when I get home from work on a Thursday. Honestly can’t remember the last time I felt that. Probably just after the pipe bomb all those years ago.

I wanna like AEW, I really do. There’s just far too many people I don’t care for anymore or don’t care for at all. Cody/Jericho as the main feud does absolutely nothing for me. And I’d rather any other team be champs over SCU.

Mox, PAC, Kenny, Page and the Lucha Bros are clearly head and shoulders above the rest, though. I’d love to see some of them against some of NXTs best. Shame that’s pretty much impossible for half of them. Ah well.

Even with the Raw/SD/WWE help in general, getting the lead down to 9000 in just 6 weeks is impressive. I’m also impressed that AEW kept the lead with the help NXT had. 1.6m watching wrestling on Wednesday is definitely cool

highlights of last night for me were Cody's promo and Swerve/Dijakovic. both great shows but i think NXT was more consistently good top to bottom, which is the first week ive felt that way.

Swerve is so fucking good and smooth. he and Dream and Strong are maybe my three favorite guys in the company. i love that kind of showcase match so much more than a squash. it was a given that Dijakovic would go over but they made Swerve look amazing which made the win actually matter.

Have you watched the Cody promo from this week? And the Jericho hype video? They've kind of nailed what, on paper, looks like a blah feud. That Cody promo was UNREAL.

They actually set up the perfect spot for Cody to win...they're running it kind of like Mundo/Mysterio in LU, and they could go for the interference finish that had...but its also set up for Cody to overcome interference as Jericho isnt focused.

 

AEW was great this week. Like others have said, Cody with the promo of the year contender and that Jericho hype package was killer. Main event chaos to end the show was great. I’m stoked to catch up on NXT soon. Wednesday nights are so fun now.

Baker and Priestly being on the Buy In while Spears and Janela is on the main card is fucked up

I feel weird about AEW's women's division. The joshi are yearrrrrssssss ahead of all of the gaijin. It's difficult to get behind any of the non-Japanese girls when they are all noticeably green.

 

I find it hard to get into any of them because there’s basically no backstory aside from Nyla Rose and Brit Baker.

that said, they’ve been building up this match since Fight for the Fallen and somehow Spears and Janela gets on the show
