This is such a weird situation that I don’t even know what to think. I feel like with any other company we could give the benefit of the doubt and blame it on lack of oversight and awareness of the situation. Lack of diversity. But obviously WWE does not deserve such a pass with their history and current dealings. I honestly had to look to see what the issue was because the design did not scream “mouth” to me but of course once I saw it I got it right away. And he has every right to feel the way he does and people should be upset that this made it through. But at the same time I can’t help but feel like he wants out and this is the way for him. I mean in his shoes I’d probably want out the moment I saw that too. He also got the push from the start and probably cooled him down due to this disagreement going on during the time since? Don’t know what to make of it

No one cares about Smackdown on a Friday night and it’s not just a WWE issue no one cares about TV on a Friday night.

That’s the lowest in the brand’s history, by a lot. The previous nadir was Dec. 31, 2015 - New Year’s Eve and also the last show on SyFy - which had 1.6 million viewers.

But it’s pathetic they had a week promoting Brock and Cain Ric and Hulk and that it would be on FS1 and still no one cared

AEW is gonna start their show Wednesday with a musical number about beating ‘The Friday Night Show’ in the ratings

I agree that it's a bad look but I don't think you can take the 880k number at face value. I think if you do you're drastically underestimating the impact moving from Fox to FS1 has.

 

Friday night is a death slot no matter what channel it’s on - SDL is all out of gimmicks to keep viewers attention. The only things people watch on Friday nights are actual sports like NBA or World Series.

I don’t think the numbers would have been any better on FOX - they probably crack 1 million but meh the show is already running on fumes

 

Wrestling needs more musical numbers.
