That was the perfect spot for the "face passes out instead of tapping out" move to end things. But yeah, Darby looked great in that match

I enjoyed AEW yet again, but that was the weakest episode for sure outside the Omega match. Still better than anything WWE (outside NXT) no doubt, and I'm hyped to go next week. Anyone else gonna be at the Pittsburgh show?

 

I think the ending was fine. "Face passes out instead of tapping out" you wanna save for a match where the face has given it their all and it just isn't enough.

Darby was literally beating Jericho with his hands tied behind his back before Swagger showed up. Knowing he's beat because he can't use his arms to leverage his way out of the submission hold and so "tapping" is completely fine. He didn't sustain enough punishment earlier in the match for passing out to make sense.
