There are 11 matches on the Summerslam card, and that includes exactly 0 tag matches or multi-person matches. Cant decide if Im impressed or if this means a lot of DQ/interference finishes.

 

Or Sasha, since she had the big pop with her in the Rumble. Feels kinda like a middle finger at both of them. Or at Bayley & Ember, since they're gonna put this over the title match.

I love Trish. She's the best (or 2nd best) WWE Diva ever. She has no business being in this match on this card with no build.

 

Painfully unimpressive considering the company has 3 tag titles and Summerslam is the second biggest show of the year.

 

Card for Summerlsam is alright, but I can't bring myself to give a shit since nothing has been built properly.

Hate it. Not because I hate Trish. In fact, I am all for having Trish in a match at summerslam in Toronto. But I agree. A random match against Charlotte? Just because Charlotte said so? That's not very interesting. Trish vs The Man... I'm into it. Trish vs Bayley... with a decent story, I'm into it. But this is just nonsense to give Charlotte a big match.

Hell, I'd take Trish/Lita vs Iiconics.

 

It's interesting to note that Marty's ROH contract is up literally the day before.

2 of the 3 womens matches exist because "Canada", and the 3rd is between two faces.

Trish v Becky would be great, and Becky could do exactly the tweener stuff she is right now. And Charlotte v Natty would accomplish what they want with Natty getting cheered. And Natty winning would have made a Becky/Natty feud logical.

Takeover: Brooklyn II. Ember and Billie Kay was the 2nd match. It was pretty standard when Asuka debuted because they'd have her match and a title match...but once she became champ, they mostly did away with that.

Its a better choice than Riddle/Dain for sure.

Yeah, I suspect Ember would have gotten more of those if they weren't boosting Roode, Sanity, etc in that time frame. And then they sort of stopped doing those enhancement matches to start Takeovers.

Though Nikkie/Candice probably should have been on Takeover:WarGames over the Riddle quick KO
