    I was listening to wade Keller’s podcast and they were saying how “the stars logo” that cm punk has worn on his trunks is being used to promote all out and starrcast. Therefore, it’s practically confirmed he will debut for AEW, especially since he will be at starrcast.

    I’m like have you never heard of Chicago??? Even if Punk were to appear for AEW, that’s not why they used the damn Chicago flag to promote the show.

    To be fair, it was the cohost saying all that shit but Keller did nothing to correct him so...

    To be fair, the chair shot on Cody alone is far more blood and gore than wwe has had in years. Add in Dustin bleeding out basically, the Moxley hardcore match. It’s not some hardcore promotion but it very much is more blood and guts than wwe. I don’t think it’s that off base.

    Plus it’s his competition so he is going to talk about the negatives.

    This, by the way, is the other 4.75* match I didnt include in my list of names...but also fits nicely into the conversation that he can be a heel. Dude is tall and cocky...he could be Jay White or Baron Corbin stylistically and promo wise, and just not suck beyond that and be a good heel. His finisher might be the most neutral move in the entire sport; wrist control + clothesline is absolutely some heel shit...yet spinning tombstone into rainmaker is totally a face boost finish.

    They desperately needed this. Her and Dakota Kai are gonna be crucial for the womens division being drug down by endless heel nonsense

    The whole list is here: List of professional wrestling matches rated 5 or more stars by Dave Meltzer - Wikipedia

    Flair had 4 in 1989. Manami Toyota had 4 in a 365-day period in 1994-95, which in some ways feels the most impressive streak considering she is, I believe, involved in every womens match to ever receive 5*. There arent more than 4 total in a year between 1997 and 2017...so that gets really easy.

    Okada had 5 total in a ~370 day period from Aug 2016 to Aug 2017. Omega had 5 from Aug 13, 2016->Aug 13, 2017.

    But the far and away winner is Kenny Omega, who had 10 - 5* matches from Jan 4, 2018 to Jan 4, 2019...and who has followed that up with a grand total of 4 matches since then, in a laughable waste of a year of THE elite wrestler in the world. One of those matches he faced Don Callis.

    Ospreay is at a total of 6 - 5* matches starting December 15, 2018...in a match with Omega during his Golden Lovers run. Its believable between one or two more G1 matches, a FSE match, some Road to Tokyo matches and WK14 that Ospreay could match Omega. At worst, he's on a longer run than anyone in the sport but Omega, including Okada.

    The network redesign is super legit. Makes watching old PPV's much easier since I can skip matches I don't give a shit about lol

    Tickets for NJPW east coast shows sold at an insane rate. Queue for it was nuts.

    TJP, Dragon Lee and Sho announced for Super J Cup. Can't wait to see the who else is going to be announced. Stoked that I also get to see Liger wrestle twice in two days for the first and last time ever. DEFY and NJPW collaborating for 2 nights is good shit.

    Kikutaro put his hands in a finger gun, shoved them up Nate Webb’s ass, smelled them and passed out. Then Bryce smelled them and Flair flopped.

    Imagine being the type of person that doesn’t like comedy wrestling.

    Tonight was way more fun than I expected it to be. Though a standing room ticket was definitely a mistake. Come join me in the balcony on 9/30, @Henry, @Mick, @Ruethless or any of the 800 other NJ people in this thread.

    Picture quality is fine, but its been giving me error messages intermittently. Had to stop watching Evolve earlier because of it. Rewatching the Monday Night Wars and its working flawlessly now. Love the layout but hope the glitches are temporary.

    def keeping my NJPW sub for a while. i always enjoyed the big matches and stuff but watching the G1 all the way through has been so satisfying and its clicked with me on another level. becoming familiar enough with guys to spot their signatures and comebacks and etc is a big component of that
