I actually liked how that was gonna end, pre cash-in. Seth freaking out over Corbin and the blurry line they crossed was kind of a cool finish. RAW being about if what Corbin did was wrong...if he should be suspended, etc.

Instead its the Brock show again and its hard to care about.

 

It’ll only be the Brock show once a week for the next 3 months

Fox made a terrible investment in WWE

 

And of course all the dumb ass fans in the audience cheer for that shit even tho the product just got 100000% worse

 

Well he's the Raw champ so it shouldn't matter to Fox really.

 

I actually enjoyed a lot more of the PPV than I expected but god damn that ending is the fucking worst.

I will counter that, while match quality wise it was leaps and bounds above most PPVs this year, how they follow up into Summerslam is gonna matter a lot.

Alexa/Nikki, Strowman, The Club, KO, and Seth/Brock are all things they're gonna have to pay off for this PPV to not have just been a random filler in a long string of pointless matches. If this is the start of meaningful, long-term stories for women that arent about the title...if the tag teams divisions matter again...if we see KO built up as a force as a face, etc...then we can call it a really good PPV and a turning point

 

Better than Evolve too.

The matches tonight were good. But the booking is still God awful and lack any depth. Perhaps we see a change with the new guys stepping in. I fuckin doubt it

 

Okay, but like, I cannot take points away from a PPV based off how they may or may not hypothetically fuck it up 3 weeks from now?

AEW has built up better and more coherent storylines with 4 PPVs than WWE has in the past 2 years
