Demon is best served, in my opinion, as a very rare entrance. Something used to over come the longest odds.

 

House shows are definitely heavily skewed to kids. Im honestly not sure how much else is though...

If that were the driving theory, WWE would care about two things. One would be the 12-34 demos (in which they routinely get killed by MTV and VH1 shows that get like 800k viewers), and the other would be pushing their stars that have strong social media and Youtube presences. They havent budged an inch in those demos, and they're to the point of having nearly no female 12-34 audience...and I dont see Tyler Breeze/Austin Creed suddenly getting a boost anytime soon. Mattel aside, I cant even really think of any advertisers they have that cater to kids.

Basically seems like PG keeps the content from being really interesting, but its still ultimately written for an older audience aside from like, New Day promos.

No way they are bringing finn out as the demon in saudi arabia, where "sorcery and witchcraft" are still capital offences.

Or as Mojo Rawley said last year, saudi arabia is a country "where u can do just about anything".

 

They’ve already announced and promoted him as the Demon for it.

 

I wonder if they'll do a story where the demon loses? I mean it writes itself. The "demon" takes more and more control after a regular Finn loss or something. Demon turns heel and keeps winning blah blah blah. Then loses, Finn comes back and wins. Simple story but I think it would get a good response.

They'll more than likely just keep it as is, a pageant show for when he's going to win at PPV's rather than actually a part of his character.

 

They definitely won’t because nuanced stories don’t happen in WWE. It’ll just be something they use to juice up matches he’s in.

 

I like the way they wrote Finn losing to Joe. I think that'd be a good way to get the belt off him again when it comes to that.

I didn't remember them picking a date. I thought it was something that was up in the air. Maybe.

 

Cody def said it was a match he had set for Fight for the Fallen. maybe they were trying to play up Dustin's potential retirement or something

Shayna/Io should be great, but Im amazed Candace hasnt been on a Takeover yet. She's been on more main roster PPVs than Takeovers in her two years

Delaying it to include AEW was a last second decision but I didn't like the belt changing hands 3 times in 2 months. I might do this again for Fyter Fest, I might not. Definitely plan on doing it for Fight for the Fallen though.

 

This is good. And honestly they should do this more. Worked wonders for Tyson Kidd.
